Gary Maria Professional Dog Training

As I sit to write this I'm struggling to find the words that can capture how grateful we are to have found Gary. When our friends recommended him to us we had recently adopted a dog from Taiwan and were having a rough time. Poor Stout was so scared but he came across as aggressive. 7 weeks ago we had a 9 month old puppy who barked at and chased our cats, barked and lunged at our daughters to the point we couldn't leave him alone with them, and we'd started to wonder if we'd made a big mistake. After working through Gary's program we now have a puppy who is relaxed in his new home, follows commands, cuddles up to the girls and licks their faces and we could not be happier with the decision we made to adopt him. This never would have been possible without Gary's help. His understanding of dog psychology, tailoring his training to each dog and positive approach to training just works. Working with Gary is an investment of both time and money, you have to put in the time to get the results but it’s so worth it. Thank you Gary, we will be forever grateful.

Working with Gary was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Our rescue dog had so many issues and we were running out of ideas. The poor pup was always stressed, especially on walks or when meeting new people. He would lunge at people who scared him, bark at other dogs on the other side of the street, and have accidents in the house when spooked by random noises. We knew we needed professional help. Gary really gave us the tools to help us. He taught us several methods and techniques that would help our dog focus and calm down in stressful situations. Gary was always patient, calm, and understanding. His instructions were always clear and the sessions were fun and informative. His experience with dogs like ours really allowed him to use personalized strategies that worked for all of us. He was always available for help, even outside of our scheduled sessions. After 6 sessions, our dog has had a complete transformation. It’s very easy for us to get his attention on walks even when he starts to focus on another dog, person, or noise. When people come into our house, he sits down, waits for a treat, and then shakes guests’ hands. Our dog is now very calm at home, often lying down nearby and not always clinging to us 24/7. While we understand that our rescue pup still has quite a ways to go, we are so pleased with the progress he’s made with Gary’s help. Gary has helped us be more confident as dog owners, leaving us with the knowledge to better address our dog’s needs. We are very hopeful about our dog’s future and it was all thanks to Gary!

Hiring Gary was the best decision we made after adopting our Formosan Mountain Dog. Our little girl was very shy and the world was a very scary place for her. After looking at chain pet stores that do dog training I was not impressed at all. Dog being distracted constantly by customers, smells, and trainers that didn’t seem all that confident. We met Gary for an initial consult and said everything about our pups behaviors prior to us even telling him what she did. He gave us an awesome explanation as to why she did said behaviors and what his training does to navigate those behaviors. After our first lesson it was obvious that we definitely needed structure for our pups because her personality started to change during the week while practicing what he taught us. We just finished the program and it’s like we have a new dog. She loves practicing her commands for her rewards! When hanging out with neighborhood dogs we constantly get compliments on how well she listens to us even though she’s being rowdy with the other dogs and we get her attention right away when called. And this is all thanks to Gary and his training. We are starting the prep work with our little girl to get her ready for the next training program because she has turned a page since we got her that we want her to keep growing and getting better by challenging her. Plus it makes us better owners. We saved or puppies life and Gary helped us be the best owners she deserves. Thank you, Gary!

I recently adopted my 2 year old pitbull who is a little 40 pound princess cuddle butt! However, there was an incident which instantly lead me to search for someone to train her (and me). I found Gary and was able to get a consultation within the week. When we met, he called my dog momma which meant more to be because with the short time of her being in my home, that was our little nickname for her which she would answer to over her name. Anyway, with everything he told me in that first meeting, I knew it was going to be a long journey for her and for me too. The most important thing is to set your dog up for success and Gary teaches you exactly how to do that. It’s only been 4 weeks and my little baby and I have developed such a different strong and amazing relationship and we are both improving so much. Please don’t give up on your fur babies! Hire Gary and he will give you the information and the techniques you need for pups that need a little extra love. I would sign up with Gary over and over again. Such a huge investment! Side note: at the time I signed up, he was offering (maybe still does) money off if you sign up your second dog. I told him I did want to do this but you know his response? “Take what I teach you with pup #1 and use it on pup #2. If it doesn’t work, let’s talk. But let’s not sign up yet” which was a HUGE thing to me because clearly he does not want or need our money. He does this because he loves dogs and he wants to make sure all dogs are safe and taken care of. Absolutely amazing!
