Garden State K9

We recently adopted a new puppy from a rescue and were looking for a local trainer to help with obedience training. I found Garden State K9 right around the corner from my home and decided to try their two-week Day Training program, where you drop your dog off in the morning and pick them up in the evening. My dog, August, was paired with their trainer Melissa, and within just two days I noticed a real difference in his behavior. Today marks the end of his two weeks, and he is like a new pup. All the typical puppy behaviors, like jumping and mouthing, are now under control. He’s responding great to all commands, has a strong recall, and is solid on his basic training. Melissa is a fantastic trainer who clearly cares about the dogs she works with, and it’s easy to see she genuinely loves what she does. It’s also very obvious that the entire staff cares for your pet as if they were their own. I’m excited to continue with other training programs they offer and, hopefully, pair up with Melissa again for agility training, which she mentioned she also teaches. I highly recommend Melissa and Garden State K9!

I took my 6 month old puppy Newfoundland, Gil, to Garden State K9 for their 2 week training program. I dropped him off every morning with his lunch bag, and picked him up at 4pm. I couldn't be happier, he no longer bites me, he walks on a leash without pulling, and he no longer has accidents in the house. When friends come to visit, he sits in his place and waits for pets.
