Fusion Dog Training

I have a 1 year old Siberian Husky male who was not coming when called off leash. Fearing he would take off if he ever got off leash I began researching numerous options for dog training in the northern El Paso County/Monument/Black Forest/Douglas County area. I located Cristina with Fusion Dog Training. After contacting Cristina through her website she promptly called me and discussed my goals and expectations regarding my Husky’s recall deficiencies. Cristina offered numerous training program options. I selected 6 private lessons with the focus on off leash recall. After our initial session with Cristina I found her to be very knowledgeable and friendly as did my Husky. She has the perfect demeanor as an instructor and fully explained what my Husky and I needed to do along with homework assignments. Cristina requested updates on our progress in-between training sessions and provide training recommendations as necessary. During the training sessions she provided positive feedback on our progress without hesitating to say what we needed work on. We were exposed to other dogs as distractions at her training location as well as the local public dog park. After 6 sessions I now have full confidence in my Husky off leash and the bond between us has grown as a result of the training experience. I highly recommend Fusion Dog Training Co. We love our German Shepherd/Husky Bo. But he jumped on people, couldn’t be trusted near open doors, couldn’t walk on a leash, and was just too excitable for a house with 3 young kids. Enter Cristina and Fusion Dog Training. GOODNESS. The difference was night and day. He is so calm now, doesn’t jump, can heel on a leash, and can have fun off leash adventures. He had often been such a point of stress in our home, and now is just a fun companion to have around. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had. Cristina is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly (to both my wife and I, and our dog!). She sent us consistent updates throughout his two-week Board & Train experience, and worked with our busy schedule for his “Go Home” session. In that session, she patiently showed us how to be the best owners for Bo, and helped us be confident in using the same commands she had taught him. The calm we now have in our house, and the improved friendship we have with our Bo was worth every single penny. Beyond words thrilled.

I can’t recommend Cristina and Fusion Dog Training enough. She helped create a whole new and enjoyable life for Hank (and me!) and for that my heart overflows with appreciation. Hank is a rescue off of the reservation. When he came to me he had no real understanding of the world. Sweet (and insecure) as pie, Hank learned how to be a survivor, and with that came some unsavory habits that just didn’t jive well in the human/dog interface of the world. Most notably (and scary!) on the ranch, or out hiking, Hank would wander (or run!) off and be gone for hours, or even overnight. That is just a no-go in rural Colorado where ranchers have the right to protect their livestock, and there is too much wildlife, and thousands of acres of National Forest and BLM land all around us to get lost and in trouble in. Ultimately Hank was relegated to a fenced yard. His boundless energy couldn’t really be expressed in the yard and I knew that this wasn’t a good life for him. That is why I brought him to Cristina for a two-week board and train to see if he could get the good dog life skills he deserved. The Hank that arrived at Cristina’s doorstep is not the Hank who returned home. Today, Hank is having a blast and truly is living his best life. He roams the ranch with me, hikes up in the forest with me and my daughter, plays in the river, and does this all off leash and he NEVER RUNS AWAY!
