FurEver Home Dog Training helps dogs, puppies and rescues overcome behavior challenges through calm leadership, connection, and understanding. Created by professional dog trainer Jodi Little, The CALM DOG Connection teaches owners how to build trust, reduce stress, and create lasting behavior change without relying on correction-based methods. We help with separation anxiety, leash pulling, excessive barking, jumping, destructive behaviors, reactivity and aggression-related behaviors, fear, resource guarding, rescue dog and puppy mill transitions, potty training, and more. Local private lessons are available in Fort Collins, Colorado, and virtual training is available nationwide. Our mission is helping more dogs stay in their FurEver Homes.

My husband and I first met Jodi about three months ago when we started volunteering working with her scared dogs to help get them acclimated to humans so they could eventually get adopted. We were so amazed at her dedication and love for these dogs. Jodi has a wealth of knowledge regarding dog behavior. We adopted one of her scared dogs a week ago. We took her training class before bringing our dog home. Her knowledge and techniques have been a tremendous help in getting our dog acclimated to his new home and us. We also appreciated that Jodi was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had after bringing our dog home. We highly recommend Jodi for any dog training you feel you may need for your dog. She is the best dog trainer!

I recently adopted a little rescue dog. Jodi at furever home Dog Training is awesome, she specializes in "scared dogs", those who most likely have had very little human contact. She was very thorough and knowledgeable. She not only gets to know the dogs, she takes the time to get the human. She gave me multiple tools to help me train and make my little pup comfortable I recommend her if need training for any dog.

We adopted a 9 month old puppy from a rescue. She had many fear based behaviors. We thought we were supporting her well until small scuffles started occurring between her and our current 11 y/o dog. This caused visible anxiety for our older dog. We reached out to Jodi and she was very responsive. She gave us immediate directions until our in person appointment. Those small changes (not petting or greeting the puppy until she was calm, etc) made an impact. Jodi was punctual for our in home appointment. She has a very calming presence about her! She observed our dog's behavior while teaching us more about the dog psyche. She gave us clear instructions, with explanations as to why, to implement right away. We are carrying through on these exercises for 2 weeks then will reevaluate next steps with Jodi. After our appointment my husband and I reflected on how our behaviors that we thought were supportive were actually causing more harm. Before reaching out to Jodi we were contemplating if our puppy was a good fit for the family but now we feel confident with small changes on our part she will be a great addition! Thank you Jodi!

Nice local dog trainer and boarding space. We boarded our <1yo puppy (energetic doodle) here while traveling out of state for the holidays. Upon return, we found a very relaxed and calm puppy. There is still a lot of training to accomplish, but would have no reservation about using FurEver Home Dog Training again.
