FirstBarkJodi did an amazing job helping my sister and I with our dogs that were not getting along. Jodi taught us how to keep our dogs calm and make them feel like they belonged in our "pack". FurEver Home Dog Training helps dogs, puppies and rescues overcome behavior challenges through calm leadership, connection, and understanding. Created by professional dog trainer Jodi Little, The CALM DOG Connection teaches owners how to build trust, reduce stress, and create lasting behavior change without relying on correction-based methods. We help with separation anxiety, leash pulling, excessive barking, jumping, destructive behaviors, reactivity and aggression-related behaviors, fear, resource guarding, rescue dog and puppy mill transitions, potty training, and more. Local private lessons are available in Fort Collins, Colorado, and virtual training is available nationwide. Our mission is helping more dogs stay in their FurEver Homes.

On December 12, 2023, we knew it would be a challenge to adopt 2 female Maltese mix puppy mill dogs (Chloe & Dallas renamed Bella & Bailey). With Jodi’s help and advice we were given the tools we would need to make this adoption a successful one. The progress the girls made in the first 2 weeks was amazing considering their background. They are making huge attempts at trusting us, have started to accept walking on a leash and are making great strides with housebreaking. They play everyday with each other and are truly like sisters. We take everything we do extremely slowly, we knew being 6-7 years old that it would take time, patience, and love to help them become dogs! With Jodi’s help we are glad we made the decision!
Jodi explains her thoughts for everything and makes sure we understand all of her suggestions! She is so calm & confident & my dog learns so well from her. We are so glad we have found Jodi to help us learn how to help our very anxious boy!!
We have done dog training at other facilities but we were never taught how to understand our dog and how to teach them to be a better family member. Jodi`s instruction and insight to our dogs personality has been a huge help and we have seen great improvement in just 2 sessions by both human and dog!
