Fun Paw Care Dog Training

I reached out to Russ to get some help in addressing fear/reactivity issues I’ve been having with my 2 y/o dog. I learned about his week-long boot camp after our initial conversation and signed up as soon as I could. Russ is extremely knowledgeable in what he does. He will also have a ton of resources that can tackle any problem that you may be having. Not only is he well versed in how/why dogs behave the way they do and the training/handling procedures to correct it, but he is also informed in medication/herbal supplements that help reduce a dog’s reactivity/fear levels. His approach from pickup, to training, to drop off is very carefully planned out based on your dog’s unique situation. He will give you A LOT of information so be prepared to give yourself plenty of time to read through and digest it. Anytime he recommends something for you or your dog, be it a muzzle, treats, or specific Vet recommendations, he will provide you with links and personal reviews of the items. As a busy working professional these small time-saving things are very much appreciated. Throughout the week-long boot camp Russ provides a daily analysis of your dog’s behaviors plus any progress made. These analyses help provide insights into how some behaviors are triggered and ways to help counteract them. He is also very receptive to questions and takes his time to answer and provide resources for further information. At the end of the boot camp, you get a final analysis with his prognosis and steps that you should take to actively work on your dog’s behaviors. I’ve had my dog back for less than a week and I already see improvements by following Russ’s training methods/supplement recommendations. His fear levels are down, and he is not nearly as reactive. I still have work to do and will continue to practice the training methods that were provided to me, but I’m glad I got the ball rolling with Russ.

I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Fun Paw Care. I had to have surgery and was stressed as to where I could send my 5-month old puppy, Coco (who struggles with separation anxiety) while I recovered. The moment I met Russ when he came to pick up Coco, I literally had tears of joy knowing he was going to be in the best hands possible and that I made the right choice. I have worked with a few trainers before and no one has helped me make changes in my two reactive dogs’ behavior as quick or effective as Russ. After a consultation I was armed with the tools and knowledge to understand what I was doing incorrectly, how to create positive behavior changes, and the confidence that things will get better. It’s been only a few short weeks and I am already beginning to notice the effectiveness of his advice, and this has been a battle for almost 4 years now. I am excited to see where things are in 6 months and I am so glad I met Russ.

I had a really tough case of the “puppy blues” before finding Russ. I felt like a failure of a dog mom! Now I see everything that Russ is able to accomplish with my little puppy, and I feel excited at the possibility of being able to give her the life she deserves! Russ has helped me learn how to train her, and he is giving her the foundation she needs to flourish in my life!! He is a fantastic dog trainer and behaviorist, and I am so grateful for his loving care he gives to my girl :)))
