Evan was fantastic! I tried training Jake (English Cocker Spaniel) on my own but, I became very impatient as I couldn't get him to lay down or return to me when called. At our first session Evan immediately noticed I was confusing Jake with body language that contradicted the command I was giving. After a few months of basic obedience training and a few of off-leash, I now have a companion that I can walk through the large dog park at piedmont that will heel at my side or return to me when recalled. My favorite portion of the training was easily that Evan does not teach a stay command, only a release. So now when I tell Jake to sit, stay, heel, place or here, he remains in the requested position until I tell him OK. I highly recommend Evan as he is able to adapt his skills to your dog's personality and teach you how to have a great companion.,

Training with Full Contact K9-Evan was a very rewarding experience for my dog-Buddy, a male Golden Retriever as well as myself. Evan, at Full Contact K9, was very patient with Buddy and knew EXACTLY how to handle and train him. Took Otis, my 16 week old Labrador puppy to Evan in January. In a very short time we had him sitting, lying down, going to his bed, finding the heel position and walking easily on the leash. It definitely has helped with all aspects of his behavior.. no running out into the street when door is open... well behaved. The lessons were easy to perform. and Otis loved to go to training. Evan gave me great guidance on how to handle training at home. Overall a great experience!

I have a bull dog mix that I trained with Evan. Previously I had hired a trainer that would come to my office to train him, one hour a day, four days a week, for 3 months. I spent a lot of money, and needed him to be well behaved because he would come to our office with us. After 3 months, the puppy was 60#, and my wife couldn't walk him because he would pull her down the street. He was high energy and hadn't learned to obey any commands. I was frustrated, and didn't know what to do; I did not know how to train or raise a dog because I had never done it before. Then I met Evan, and from working with him 30 minutes once a week with the dog, and then implementing the lessons I learned from him, we now have an awesome companion pet that I can walk off leash, comes when called, goes to work with us, and is very obedient and eager to please. We finished the training with a session where I walked him in the dog park with many other dogs around, and my dog healed, sat, went down, returned to sit, and would come when called while off leash and while the other dogs tried to distract him. I would never have believed we would achieve these results when we started. Evan trained me to train my dog, and it was a very rewarding experience and the results far exceeded my expectations.
