From The Heart Dog Training

I cannot say enough good things about Victoria. When I first reached out to her, I was honestly heartbroken and overwhelmed. My one-year-old pit bull, True, is the sweetest dog and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but his behavior was completely out of control. His anxiety was through the roof, he had no boundaries, and I couldn’t manage him at all. He was jumping on my kids and our home felt chaotic. I had reached the point where I didn’t know if I would be able to keep my dog, which was devastating to even consider. Victoria truly came to the rescue. From the very beginning, she met me exactly where I was with zero judgment. She listened, understood the situation, and immediately stepped in to help. True attended her two-week training camp at her home, and when I picked him up it honestly felt like I was bringing home a completely different dog. What Victoria did wasn’t just train my dog — she gave him a foundation. She helped reset him, gave him structure, and set him up for success. But just as importantly, she trained me. She helped me understand the role I played in True lacking structure and taught me how to confidently lead him moving forward. She did all of this with so much kindness, patience, and grace. At no point did I ever feel judged — only supported. True still needs continued reinforcement at home (as all dogs do), but Victoria gave us the tools and structure we desperately needed. She didn’t just help my dog — she helped our entire family. I am incredibly grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone who feels overwhelmed or unsure about their dog’s behavior. She truly goes above and beyond, and knowing she’s still there for follow-up support means everything. Thank you, Victoria, for helping us keep True in our family.

We are beyond thrilled with the progress our sweet, smart, nervous and fearful dog has made with the help and guidance from Victoria and her team! Her approach is calm, compassionate, thoughtful and clear. Everything is done with intention, from the structured daycare with enrichment and confidence-building opportunities, to pack walks, to purposeful downtime, along with pictures and videos of what our dog has been working on throughout the day. Our training sessions with Victoria have been incredibly helpful. She is able to communicate and educate us in a way that helps us better understand our dog. There is time set aside to debrief after sessions, a detailed summary provided, recapping all that was practiced and how we can practice at home, as well as narrated videos that we can keep and look back at when needed. We leave feeling empowered and excited about helping our dog! Victoria is clearly doing what she is meant to do! I cannot recommend her services highly enough!

Victoria was wonderful with our 7-month-old puppy. We started with a one-on-one session, then he attended daycare, and later attended her training camp (board & train) program. She was flexible with our schedule and made sure he could be there when we needed, which made a big difference for us. Before working with Victoria, he was obedient but overly attached to me, which she explained was contributing to his leash reactivity. I had assumed obedience and treat training alone would fix it, but Victoria introduced us to tether training. This helped him stay calm and in place while there was movement around him. Now at home, he can be by himself without panicking if he can’t see me. She has also been a huge help with crate training. We were starting to avoid going out because we thought his separation anxiety was getting worse. Victoria explained the psychology behind it and gave us tools to create a structured routine. Using her guidance, he’s sleeping better, more confident, and happier, and we’re happier knowing he’s comfortable and secure. Victoria truly goes above and beyond. She uses high-quality Ruffland crates, and our puppy got so used to one at training camp that he seemed anxious in his old crate at home. When I mentioned it, she kindly offered to let us borrow one until our new crate arrived. Her patience, guidance, and care have made a huge difference for all of us. He’s been to coffee shops before and has always been comfortable, but alert and never fully relaxed or laid down. Victoria asked about our goals, and after I shared this with her, she took him on this outing. I couldn’t believe that on his very first trip with Victoria, he actually fell asleep!
