What should I bring to a Dog Training Refresh Class?
We recommend coming prepared with the following equipment: a 6 foot leash, long line, flat collar, treat pouch, high value food rewards and/or a toy. If your dog has been conditioned to any of the following, please bring these as well: prong collar and ecollar. If place cots are recommended, it will be communicated to you ahead of time.

How many dogs do you take at a time in the board and train program?
Each trainer only takes a few dogs at a time, however this is dependent on that trainer's desired workload, lifestyle and home accommodations. While training is our number one service, we also offer Vacation Boarding for our clients, which may impact how many training dogs can be accomodated. In short, trainers are never given more than they can handle, which is why there may be a waitlist to start training, since we need to allow for ample time with each dog throughout the day to get multiple sessions and plenty of individualized care.

Dogs feel welcomed wherever their needs are met. In the instance of sending your dog to training, your Trainer will be the provider of all things comforting (food, water, shelter, play, affection, structure, etc). Once training is complete, this source of comfort and security will be transferred back to you, making the transition simple for your dog.

I'm afraid my dog will look great with my trainer, but I will not be able to replicate what the trainer has accomplished. Have you ever had a dog not listen to the owner once returned home?
This is a great question and a simple one...if your trainer can get your dog to listen, so can you! While your trainer will have TAUGHT the skills for you, it is imperative that you FOLLOW THROUGH with these skills once your dog comes home. Consistency is the key. So if you consistently follow through with what you ask of your dog, you will see the exact same success that your trainer has experienced. This is why we include continuing education in the forms of Follow Up Lessons and Refresh Classes. We want to ensure that you have the continued coaching you need to be just as successful as your Trainer!

What does dog vacation boarding entail?
Boarding itself may vary, depending on the needs of the dog and other dogs in your trainer's care. Feeding and medications are included in all boarding fees, as well as supervised free time or potential socialization with other client dogs, IF they are a good play match. Otherwise, training includes supervised free time. Should you opt info Refresh Training as an Add On, refresh sessions will look different day to day depending on your trainer's schedule, the weather, etc. Options are not limited to field trips, tagging along to follow up lessons, group training, hikes, etc.

I didn’t blame her. Our biggest challenges with Boots were general listening, leash pulling, jumping, barking and stubbornness. Freedom K9’s 3 week off leash training made him a new man! We bring him everywhere now and he has perfect manners! We are constantly getting compliments on his good behavior! We owe it all to Kassia! She was very responsive through the training process and continues to be afterwards. She’s full of knowledge and experience. He finished his training 3 weeks ago and he’s maintaining what he learned. We were able to book Kassia for 9 days of boarding in June and Boots will be so excited! When our baby is with Kassia, I don’t have to worry about a thing bc I know he’s in great hands! Thank you Freedom K9 and thank you Kassia for changing our lives! Highly recommend and will forever train my dogs with this company!

Of course sending your dog away can be sad, but when I got him back he was exponentially better. The most important part was the information that I learned from Kassia. She cares so much about your dog's progress as well as helping you learn how to best handle your dog. Also, having the follow up lesson was awesome so that we could reinforce some things as well as help me better help my dog. I am so looking forward to sending my pup back for 3 weeks of off leash training! Needless to say Lindsey & Kassia went above and beyond my expectations. Super grateful for y'all!

Freedom K9 is an impressive team of dog trainers, who truly do what they do because they are passionate about dogs living their best lives. They are dedicated to helping pups be the best they can be, as well as eager to aid dog owners in becoming confident with their pets. We have used Freedom K9 for their board and train program with our German Shepherd, and they have kindly boarded our dog several times since then. We can always count on this team to love and care for our dog, and we never worry when he is with anyone from Freedom. We will continue to use Freedom K9 for boarding and for refresher sessions, even now living an hour away, because we value their expertise and love towards animals.
Fantastic experience with this team! Our Quinn needed to learn some manners and control her barking outbursts. My wife and I now can take Quinn on RELAXING walks without fear of prolonged barking episodes. We have also noticed Quinn is much more confident! Thank you Kassia for your help!
