How do I schedule a dog vacation boarding stay?
Vacation Boarding may be booked directly through our hosted app, called Gingr. If you are not currently in the app, please contact us to gain access.

What should I bring to a Dog Training Refresh Class?
We recommend coming prepared with the following equipment: a 6 foot leash, long line, flat collar, treat pouch, high value food rewards and/or a toy. If your dog has been conditioned to any of the following, please bring these as well: prong collar and ecollar. If place cots are recommended, it will be communicated to you ahead of time.

How many dogs do you take at a time in the board and train program?
Each trainer only takes a few dogs at a time, however this is dependent on that trainer's desired workload, lifestyle and home accommodations. While training is our number one service, we also offer Vacation Boarding for our clients, which may impact how many training dogs can be accomodated. In short, trainers are never given more than they can handle, which is why there may be a waitlist to start training, since we need to allow for ample time with each dog throughout the day to get multiple sessions and plenty of individualized care.

I'm afraid my dog will think I abandoned them. Have you dealt with this?
Dogs feel welcomed wherever their needs are met. In the instance of sending your dog to training, your Trainer will be the provider of all things comforting (food, water, shelter, play, affection, structure, etc). Once training is complete, this source of comfort and security will be transferred back to you, making the transition simple for your dog.

I'm afraid my dog will look great with my trainer, but I will not be able to replicate what the trainer has accomplished. Have you ever had a dog not listen to the owner once returned home?
This is a great question and a simple one...if your trainer can get your dog to listen, so can you! While your trainer will have TAUGHT the skills for you, it is imperative that you FOLLOW THROUGH with these skills once your dog comes home. Consistency is the key. So if you consistently follow through with what you ask of your dog, you will see the exact same success that your trainer has experienced. This is why we include continuing education in the forms of Follow Up Lessons and Refresh Classes. We want to ensure that you have the continued coaching you need to be just as successful as your Trainer!

Boarding itself may vary, depending on the needs of the dog and other dogs in your trainer's care. Feeding and medications are included in all boarding fees, as well as supervised free time or potential socialization with other client dogs, IF they are a good play match. Otherwise, training includes supervised free time. Should you opt info Refresh Training as an Add On, refresh sessions will look different day to day depending on your trainer's schedule, the weather, etc. Options are not limited to field trips, tagging along to follow up lessons, group training, hikes, etc.

Dog Training Refresh Classes are designed to take the skills you and your dog have been taught in your program and help you fine tune those skills in a more distracting environment. When I researched dog trainers for Kobe, my Shichon puppy, I wanted to make sure I was getting a return on my investment because let’s face it, professional dog training is a significant investment. I was very impressed with Lindsey Owens of Freedom K9 Dog Training because she took the time to answer all of my questions up front about her process. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and transparent. Kobe entered her 3 week intensive program and throughout his time there, she posted videos and pictures of his progress. It was clear that Kobe was transforming into a well-behaved, obedient dog. Lindsey over-delivered on my expectations. While other trainers will teach 5 basic commands during a 3 week program, Lindsey teaches 7! She spent more than ample time with me for the hand-off training on the day I picked up Kobe to ensure I felt comfortable and confident in carrying Kobe’s training forward. Now that Kobe has been home, he is much more obedient. She taught him to channel his nervous energy and actually calms himself. He’s potty trained and we no longer deal with those typical puppy issues of chewing, jumping on tables and people and annoying barking. Had the most wonderful experience at Freedom K9. My American Bulldog was a bit of a challenge and needed training and the normal approaches were not working. Lindsey was great! My dog, Hattie, spent 2 weeks with her and came back a new dog! We are 2 months later now and Hattie follows commands, sits when people enter the house, and walks wonderfully. Hattie is a medium size dog, and I am very petite so it was important to me that Hattie be well behaved so I could enjoy her. We are best friends now because we can focus on being friends and not having to discipline or coach her. I highly recommend Freedom K9-Hattie has learned so much that she has freedom now. So thankful this was an option for us and a great solution.

Lindsey is a wonderful trainer! I have a very large bullmastiff and for some reason, one day out of the blue, he decided to refuse to get into my SUV. We never used a ramp, and I used to just hoist him up in there, but I couldn’t even get him near the vehicle.
Lindsey was patient with my dog and with us. She encouraged small steps and thought through creative ways to get my dog confident and comfortable with the car rides. She will give you homework — Do the homework. It pays off!!
I tried to train on my own, but really needed the help of a professional. I’m so grateful to Lindsey!
