Freedom K9

In addition to quality training for both me and my pup, Freedom K9 is my puppy's home away from home! The structured boarding allows me to feel comfortable knowing my dog has a safe environment where he can play with like-minded dogs while I am away. I have had two mastiffs trained by Kindle and the FK9 staff which has made my home a happy place for me and my big dogs to coexist happily and safely.

Saffron had become dog reactive, barking at every sound/smell, keys jingling, she ignored commands and would continue to bark/lunge until physically moved. Walks had become a loathsome chore. Saffron went to board/train at Freedom K9 for 3 weeks and the change is huge! I now look forward to our morning walks as Saffron walks nicely in heel position, is attentive and no longer lunges or pulls on leash. Afterwards she settles calmly into place on her raised bed. A simple no stops any nonsense that may arise from time to time and no more jumping up to bark at every sound/smell. I look forward to working more with Kindle and her team at Freedom K9 and highly recommend them.

When I originally met with Kindle at Freedom K-9, I was only interested in getting my two lab cross pups to walk better on the leash. But after having a very thorough evaluation with lots of discussion and a visit with the pups, she was able to see that there were some other issues that needed to be addressed as well. After just the first session, I saw incredible changes in both pups. Kindle provided me with homework and the tools I needed to continue to work on their progress and by the end of the three week class, the difference in my pups was like night and day. I can't thank her and her team enough. Not only can I now walk my pups on leash without any issues, I can have them off leash and not worry about what kind of trouble they can get into. The relationship between my pups and I has gone to a whole new level. They now know what I expect from them and I know exactly what they are capable of. I highly recommend Freedom K-9.....great people, great work!!

I first met Kindle when we were both clients of a different dog trainer, and while she was obtaining her training and certifications to become a trainer herself. We hit it off instantly, and I saw both how much she loved her dogs and how seriously she took her and their training. When our old trainer moved, Kindle started her business in his stead. From the get-go, she was amazing, but in the following years I've watched her grow, advance, and become even better than our old trainer was. My husband and I have worked four dogs through her programs, and we have seen and continue to see improvement in our dogs by continuing to work with her. Her training is comprehensive yet accessible and achievable. She sets you and your dog(s) up for success. She doesn't judge, even when you're not always good about doing your homework (guilty!), and she is always there to suggest ways to continue to improve. We refer everyone to her for the best training possible, because she truly is the best around! Thank you, Kindle!

I am so grateful to Kindle and company (Hannah and all of you) for working with ILA and for teaching me how to manage ILA's prey drive. As ILA reached her 1st birthday, her escalating kitty-obsession (prey drive) was making home life almost constantly troubled. She is such a good girl in almost every other way (loving, smart, eager-to-please, clownish). But I didn't know how to manager her escalating obsession with our barn (sometimes sofa) cats. What I knew about “positive training” from my experience with agility training was not making a dent. Kindle and Hannah helped me to overcome my aversion to training with anything but completely "positive" approaches. I now understand and appreciate that both the e-collar and the prong collar, when used properly and with kindness and knowledge -- can help a dog (and her human ;-) ) to live a happier life. It's all about finding the best way to communicate with our dogs, and when the "easy" ways aren't working, the best thing we can do for our dogs is to seek help from experts like Kindle and her staff. Their skill is in evaluating each dog individually, and then in educating both dog(s) and owner about how to make our lives together full of clear communication, and of course kindness and love.
