FirstBarkI've taken several classes at FoxGem, manners, Tricks, Therapy Dog Preparation. The classes are all fun and informative. Whenever I had problems teaching my dog a trick, Terri would walk me through it or find another way to achieve the outcome. FoxGem is all about the dog and owner connection. I will continue to take classes at FoxGem because training Should be fun!

Terri at Fox Gem Dog Training is just amazing at what she does. It is a fun, upbeat atmosphere for training. Fiona loves seeing Terri and knows that certain turn I make where we are going. Unsure why I haven't done this yet! Terri of Foxgem is an amazing trainer. She is super fun (as her tagline would suggest), as well as adaptable. Lessons will be tailored to what you and your dog need to truly flourish together. If you're looking to have a great time, strengthen your bond with your dog, and work towards having a well-behaved companion... this is the trainer for you!

Being a border collie mom for 30 years (and a mutt mom before that), I learned quickly how important it was to get training for this highly intelligent breed. I also learned very quickly that the training isn't for the dog, it was for me! I have had private lessons in my home, puppy classes at the big box stores, parks and rec classes and of course, the videos on YouTube. And then, I found FoxGem Dogs, LLC, with trainer, Terri Vaira last spring in Sheridan, Illinois. Not only did I get the training along with Happy, I got the needed support with so many other aspects - his health, grooming, AKC certification and tricks! Terri is very organized, patient and really lives up to her motto, "training should be fun"!
We did our initial consult with Terri and she was amazing and so patient! She’s knowledgeable and takes her time explaining exactly where she can help, it was a no brainer for us to book manner lessons through her.
