Four on the Floor Dog Training

We all need to know we are not in this alone. From the moment you join a training class with Heidi Clayton from Four on the Floor Dog Training, you exhale with the reassurance of being in expert hands. Ms. Clayton is a problem-solver by nature. Her no-nonsense approach coupled with her keen sense of humor put us at ease from the start. She is there to help you succeed if you are willing to put in the practice and work required. The skills, tools, inner strength and patience are precisely what she modeled week after week. At home, we would ask each other when faced with a challenge, "What would Heidi do?" Heidi's extensive experience with a variety of breeds and mixes, allows her the insight into dog behavior that many of us lack. Our 2-year-old Leonberger has earned her Good Canine Citizen Cert and is a registered therapy dog thanks in large part to the strong foundation of training we received from Heidi. We attended both group and private lessons, benefitting from both equally. What sets her apart from other training settings is that she makes herself available to conduct follow up check-ins, and sessions when needed as the dog grows and matures. It's comforting to know that she is on our team for the long haul.

Heidi is awesome! We took our first dog here when she was a puppy. Our puppy was a little shy and timid at first, but Heidi was able to work with her and teach her the most important lessons! She is almost three now and still listens well even off leash on the beach will all types of distractions. We also took our second dog to Heidi who is a rescue and as Heidi put it "he is the laziest dog she has ever met." Nonetheless, when he was working with Heidi he transformed into another dog and was able to follow her instructions with ease. I cannot recommend her enough!! She is very knowledgeable and knows how to focus on what each individual dog needs to thrive. We love seeing her!

Charlotte, my 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, loves Four on the Floor Dog Training. I took her to Heidi after our first disastrous trip to the groomer, who is also my friend. Charlotte was a hot mess on the grooming table. After 3 sessions with Heidi, Charlotte went back to the groomer and behaved beautifully. We have continued our training with Heidi, and Charlotte is working on agility training, which she really enjoys. I have recommended Heidi to many people, all of whom have been extremely pleased with her. Thank you Heidi!
