My working line GSD and husband and I highly recommend this establishment . I'm very pleased with the owners and trainers . . Sadly I have one more week to go on training . I have a great time with everyone . I will be taking Demon once a month training for me to make sure I'm providing her learning needs . Training never ends at home .

I thought about if I wanted to post this or not. On August 4th my Wife took our Dog Loki to Foundation K9 for training. Loki was a 3.5 year old American Staff full of life. My Wife had done research and this place had good reviews. On August 14th my Wife had gotten a call saying Loki wasn't very responsive and didn't look good. My wife went and picked him up that evening and he was not in good shape. We took him to the vet on Friday morning and the Vet said he could have had a slipped disk which they wouldn't know until they did an MRI or He could have had a spinal stroke. He was given a steroid shot to help. I'm sorry to say that it did not and Loki died around 1:00 p.m. I'm not saying Foundation K9 is to blame but all I know is my Dog was there 10 days and was Healthy and full of life and now he's gone😪 If we ever get another dog, I would not take it there for training.

It is always heartbreaking when we lose a beloved pet and family member, especially when we don’t know what caused them to pass. It is human nature to try to place the blame somewhere in our attempt to find a reason for Loki to suddenly pass. Sharon & I are truly sorry for your loss and really do understand how you feel. We also lost two dogs recently, one to liver failure and another to kidney failure after having an emergency C-section to deliver a puppy stuck in the birth canal, both passed suddenly at only 3 & 7 years of age. I have spoken to several vets we work with about the situation and they have explained that any number of underlying medical issues could have caused Loki’s sudden death. Without a blood panel or other test being done, you would not know if it was caused by a heart issue, an organ failure, a tumor, or some other cause. FCE does not cause a dog to pass suddenly; they usually have mobility problems for a period of time but normally recover. I was told that if Loki had a spinal issue, it’s unlikely he would have been able to quickly walk over to greet you and then jump up into your car. Because he did not have any test done or a Necropsy when he passed we will never really know what caused his passing. Yes, he was with us when he became sick, but this could have been the result if he were home or anywhere else. We did not cause this to happen, and we did make you aware of the situation as soon as we saw a change in Loki’s demeanor. The day before he went home he acted normal he went on his morning walk, ate his food during training, jumped into and out of the van with no problem, he drank water and had a normal stool. The following day he did not want to go for his daily walk with me, which was out of character for him so I called you right away to let you know what was happening and that you may want to have him looked at by your vet. I feel we did everything that we could have done for Loki, and while this was a tragic loss and heartbreaking, it is not our fault that this happened. We are deeply sorry for your loss and wish there was something we could have done to help him and that he was still with us. We will never really know why he was taken so soon. No answer makes it better; it is always hard, and it takes time to process and heal. We feel for you both and wish the outcome were different.

Jim helped out so much with my puppy! I had an ever changing schedule and he was also very flexible and accommodating to that as well. It’s very obvious that he cares greatly about his clients and their needs when helping train. I would highly recommend Jim to anyone who needs help training their dog as he is very helpful.

Foundation K9 is amazing! Always had quick responses. Honest with cost and what was or was not provided. Sharon and Jim are amazing! So helpful every step of the way. Jim and his staff are amazing with the dogs. Coco wanted to chase and bit when people were on a motorized moving bike. Jim work with Coco to help her with her fear. Coco would not go on a walk without pulling on us. Now we can take her on a walk and she does not pull. Thank you to Jim, Sharon and their team for such great training.

We contacted Foundation K9 about our 7 yr old Border Collie. From the very first conversations we had with Jim and Sharon my husband and I felt comfortable leaving Harper in their hands. Harper had been having some struggles and we were not quite sure how to help her. The first week Harper was in training, we could already see a positive change in her behavior. We learned so much about her and the “why” behind some of her anxiety, fears and behaviors. We would look forward to the videos we received from Jim every Tuesday and Thursday evening. We were in awe seeing Harper’s progress week after week. It has been an amazing experience to watch her growth and see her working towards her full potential. She absolutely loved the training with Jim. Harper’s happiest when she is working! It is beyond incredible seeing this version of Harper. She is always happy when she gets to see Jim. We are so grateful to Jim and Sharon for all the effort and hard work that was put into Harper to help her live her best life. My husband and I are also super appreciative for the knowledge we have gained through Harper’s training with Jim and Sharon. One of the best investments we have ever made! Our opinion is that 5 stars for this program doesn’t do it justice.
