If you are wanting to train for obedience trials, this would be ok. The beginner classes introduce basic concepts (better instructions can be found online) and then you continue to work on them at home-which is to be expected. Most of the class is spent walking your dog in circles. If your dog has issues or if you have concerns other than how to get your dog to sit, lay, etc. for trials, this is NOT the class for you despite their website's claim that "We also can help you with problems like digging, chewing, pulling, barking, and housetraining. Our trainers can answer almost any question you might have about training your dog." VERY misleading. We train you for trials would be MUCH more accurate. I do think they do a good job of that. Instructors, while wonderful people, care little about dogs who are not properly socialized prior to class and do not work with you to help you and your dog overcome distractions which inevitably occur in a small building with three different training areas. One instructor when asked a question about how to get a dog to stop pulling, said "I don't know." and walked away quickly. There is also a 4 page application that you must fill out to be "accepted" into the classes. It's more of a formality than something the club and instructors read with the goal of helping your dog. If you do apply, don't take time to write in detail because they don't read it.
