Foothills Canine Academy

Brenda literally saved our sanity! Our lil fluff outsmarted us the first day at home! He watched the doggie gate being closed and immediately figured out how to pop it open with his nose. We researched far and wide, by far Brenda was exalted by owners of Aussies! Aussies are a very clever and stubborn and cute, that don’t respond to techniques for follower breeds… they are leaders! We started with in hime training because he was too young for group classes. He’s enrolled in his 3rd session, each of which has focused on different aspects of training, and he loves it. We live Brenda. She’s trains with kindness. We are firm believers in you get what you train and results come from persistence.

If I could give 1000 stars to Brenda I would! Absolutely amazing trainer that really pushes you and your dog. I saw alot of transformations in the 7 week class. Not only in my dog but one even went from the most scared and skiddish pup to a outgoing and playful one(still cautious though). Our golden went from a wild man to a much better behaved gentleman. I can't recommend these classes enough if you need more engagement with you dog.

Absolutely outstanding! Brenda is excellent and my little Milo adores her!! She is incredibly thorough and explains the whys behind the training, making it easily understandable. I saw huge improvement (as did others) in Milo’s behavior and just had her out for a second visit to continue training. She gives excellent advice and provides options to suit your needs and training style. I HIGHLY recommend!

So far I have only taken the beginner class, but even after the seven week class I have seen great change my dogs attitude and responses and has shown me areas I need to improve on myself as well as for my dog. Brenda during the classes was great with instructing every individual on what they needed to do for their dog specifically and was able to get my dog to act/listen in ways that I never expected my dog to be able to do. I would highly recommend Brenda’s classes to anyone not just new pet owners.
