Follow Our Lead

Follow Our Lead came highly recommended by some of my husband’s closest friends, who gifted our son his miniature schnauzer pup, Sissy. So when it came time for her very first groom, we knew exactly where to take her! We received such a warm welcome when we arrived. I had a specific cut in mind for Sissy, and they absolutely nailed it. They even sent us before-and-after photos, which I absolutely loved. I was actually so excited to see her that I showed up early and didn’t even wait for the text saying she was ready for pickup. They were so gracious about us being early and accommodated us without hesitation. Sissy came out looking absolutely gorgeous, smelling fresh, and so calm and relaxed. For this being her very first grooming experience, I couldn’t believe how completely at ease she was. I honestly think she enjoyed her little spa day! I also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Justin, who is just an absolute delight. He is incredibly bright and has a wealth of knowledge about dogs that he is so willing to share. But beyond his knowledge, I was especially impressed by his character. He is genuine, personable, and it is so evident that he and his team truly have a heart for the dogs entrusted to them. We couldn’t have asked for a better first grooming experience for Sissy. I’m so glad we took our friends’ recommendation, and we will absolutely be back.

They are outrageously expensive, incompetent and irresponsible. We paid $204 for what typically cost $120 in Fort Lauderdale for our two dogs. We were told we would receive a text/call 20 minutes before the anticipated release time. That did not happen. The nails on our dogs were poorly done. See Heidi's front paws. The business is run out of a warehouse and was in a disarray when we were there. We also saw dog urine on the floor. We certainly won't go back here.

My sweet but stubborn Luna came home yesterday from her 2 week board and train with Emily and she is a new dog! Emily took her time going over commands and leash walking with me when she came home. Gave me all of the pointers and training I needed for us to be successful. Today was my first day alone working on commands/leash walking with Luna and she did so well. I also received pictures and updates daily while she was gone (if you worry about your fur-babies when they're away, you know how comforting those are). If you're looking for a trainer I highly recommend Follow Our Lead!

Update: After a year we are still pleased with the people at Follow Our Lead . They treat us and our pets very well. Good people like them are hard to find. The owner and their employees are talented and compassionate. They are very gifted in working with rascally dogs. I can’t help but like these down home country folks. The dogs love them. Their grooming always turns out well. I know for a fact that they are good trainers, even though I haven’t used them for that. They tamed one highly crazed Doodle which is highly visible to the public. The alligator treats/snacks and other products for pets are dang good.
