The 2 week board and train program was wonderful for my pup Pepper. She was 7 months old at the time and suffered from anxiety, whining in the crate, leash pulling, and (what I later realized was) marking in the house. After she returned we kept practicing commands, stuck with the Sunday morning training sessions and continued off leash training with the e-collar. She is so much more confident now, with all listed issues addressed and resolved. One of the biggest takeaways for me in this process was how much happier the training made Pepper. She is now able to handle almost any situation with service-dog level of confidence, and she comes with me to more places because of it. Ray and Thaloa continue to be available and are a valuable resource for us as Pepper matures. I am grateful for their help.

If you are looking for a great dog trainer, you've found the right place! Follow my Lead and Ray is the way to go. We brought our puppy Luna for a 2 week board and train around 6 months old. She is a very energetic dog that had a hard time sitting still, understanding/responding to recall and jumping up on things. Ray and Thaloa were great with Luna - they were able to understand her personality and how we can best correct those actions and how she will respond to them. A lot of training with Ray is for the owner as well, this was super helpful as we found we were doing a lot of the things wrong and encouraging her behavior. Luna is so great now - she can sit still while we are on calls, cooking dinner, etc. and responds to recall (even we we are at a dog park with lots of distractions!). One thing we love that she is now so awesome at walking off leash and staying right with us! We could not recommend Follow My Lead enough - Thank you Ray and Team!

If you are looking for someone to care for and train your dog, look no further! Follow My Lead Dog Training exceeded our expectations. Ray and Lo are professional, compassionate, and experienced dog trainers. We dropped our seven-month-old puppy (Thea) off to Ray and Lo for their two-week board and train program. Thea is a good dog but would not stop pulling on the leash, jumping on people and things, would only listen to commands if food was involved, was afraid of kids, and was easily distracted. We needed help and liked how Ray explained his training methods to us. Ultimately, they do the heavy lifting regarding training, and we must continue to enforce the repetitions afterward to ensure the training sticks. During the first week of training, Thea was not doing well because of nerves and a new environment. Ray and Lo did not force her to do anything and stayed patient with her the whole time. They provided updates to us daily through text messages and social media. We were able to see Thea’s progress with the videos provided. After her first week of training, we met up with Ray and Lo to practice some things Thea had learned. During the first training session, Ray informed us that he might need extra days with Thea to ensure she got everything out of his program. Ray was honest with us and wanted to ensure that we understood why Thea required more time. We were grateful for this and agreed that more training would benefit Thea. During the second week of training, we received updates daily and could see massive improvements with Thea and her training. During our second meeting with Ray and Lo, they taught us the commands that Thea had learned and ensured that we understood their training methods. We could tell that Thea was enjoying her training and not nervous anymore. The third week of training is where Thea became a rockstar. Ray and Lo continued to provide updates, and we could see that Thea was listening to all of the commands given to her. During our last training session, we were in disbelief that Thea was our puppy that we dropped off three weeks prior. Thea was listening to all of the commands, not jumping, would stay in place off the leash, was not skittish toward kids, and most importantly, was not pulling on the leash during walks. We are blessed to have found Ray and Lo to train our dog. They sent us home with a well-trained dog and course material to ensure that we continued to train Thea. You can tell they genuinely enjoy their profession with the details and training they incorporate into their program. As a bonus, Ray and Lo offer unlimited weekly training sessions for those who put their dogs in the board and train program. During these sessions, we continue to practice everything that Thea has learned with other dog owners weekly. Thank you again, Ray and Lo!
