Flying C Kennels

Flying C Kennels I have nothing but great things to say about Elijah and Flying C Kennels. My story on how I ended up having him train my Lab puppy is long, but I will try to shorten it down some. Over my life I have trained our other dogs and my Labrador retrievers and hunted them on upland and waterfowl. My current girl is turning 13 and has slowed way way down and not getting around real well. I knew last season would probably be her last, and wanted to have a new puppy trained before this upcoming season. I picked up a new puppy from a friends litter and brought her home last November. I unfortunately have become partially disabled and have had multiple back and neck surgeries over the last 10 years. After three back surgeries since 2023, my constant issues and pain had affected my ability to have the patience and attitude I needed to train this new puppy. She was a little stubborn, but it was mostly on me. When she was six months old, I finally admitted to myself that I needed help. I started looking around and came across multiple videos and information on Flying C Kennels. I never thought that I would have to use somebody else to train my dog, but it was obvious that I needed to for both of our benefits. I reached out to Elijah and we had a long conversation on the phone. After this, we made the decision to take her up there which we did in mid March. She went through the basic retriever training course and was there almost 4 months. We visited with Elijah via text or a phone call 1 or 2 times each week to check on my pups progress. Elijah was always very friendly, informative and honest about how things were going. During the process there were ups and downs with her, but she continued to improve and thrive under his training program. We were able to make a trip to visit our dog, and I spent two mornings watching Elijah work my dog and others, and was able to do some work with her myself under Elijah’s instructions starting the transition to her coming home. We brought her home last week and she has done so well with me continuing her daily training sessions, and has fit right back into our home with our other dogs. The facility is new, set up well and has been very clean and maintained every time we have been there. Elijah and his wife put in a lot of time and work to run this top notch facility, and the bonus is his wife is finishing up her school to become a veterinarian. That’s a big bonus for the dogs in their care. If you are needing training for your dog, I can highly recommend Flying C Kennels and Elijah to you. His dedication and enthusiasm in his training definitely saved me and my wonderful puppy from what could have been a horrible outcome. Thank you very much Elijah for all you did for us and our dog.
