We are the owners of two strong-willed and slightly stubborn golden doodles. We love how protective, affectionate and smart they are. However, what we didn’t love was their poor leash manners and nonstop barking. Enter Helene. We had the privilege to work with Helene earlier this year. Where other trainers we explored seemed rigid and impersonal, Helene was a breath of fresh air. Not only was she able to love our pups, but she was able to ensure that her training methods worked for our family. We have been able to take the tools we’ve learned and continue to see improvements. Now when we go out, we are showered with compliments on how well behaved our boys are. I know we have Helene to thank for that! I adopted a 2 year old Frenchie and became her 4th but forever mom. I was assured that she was potty and leashed trained, with an easygoing temperament. Wrong on all counts. After 2+ months of being dragged down the streets, cleaning up poo and pee from throughout the house and breaking up dog fights (due to her reactive behavior), I called Helene. I am so grateful for her because she truly understands dog behavior. After a few sessions, the changes I had hoped for were actually happening! Helene taught me the skills to turn things around. Helene was simply amazing. I contacted her for fear of my dog misbehaving with my new baby in the house.
