My initial consultation for the 3 week board and train was with Ali, and she made me feel heard regarding all my concerns with reactivity, resource guarding, and restless behaviors we were seeing in our dog. We scheduled the training for about two months out, and I really appreciated the excellent communication up to drop-off and through pickup from the whole team. Amanda and her team in Arvada taught us the skills to better communicate with our dog through the e-collar, and Ned how to finally relax with the place command. I no longer worry about having to walk my dog alone and instead I feel confident and proud of our ability to navigate difficult scenarios together. Hello all, Short version: Flash dog training saved our relationship with our furry friend and improved it in ways we did not think were possible. Long version: Flash helped us and our animal when we needed it most. if that sounds dramatic, that's because it was. Despite watching many training videos and spending hours playing with our cattle dog mix on a daily basis, we lacked the skills to understand what our Ned needed and how to best help him. Flash helped us understand our Ned's needs in ways we were not capable of. Through them, we learned he did not have separation anxiety and did not need 3+ hours of exhaustive exercise a day, but instead needed a way to communicate with us and receive assurance about situations, animals, and stimulation which caused him stress. We were reluctant to pursue training with the use of an e-collar and prong collar, but now we see, for us, it was precisely what we needed as parents to cut through the noise of extreme stimulation when Ned is scared or excited. Now, using the commands taught us by the patient and knowledgeable staff, the e-collar, and prong collar, we can confidently walk Ned around other dogs, people, loud noises etc. and not worry that we will lose control of Ned, and by extension, the situation. Finally, within the home, the use of the "place" command has given our Ned the space he needed to relax and unwind, allowing us to go about the house, doing chores, or spend time with one another without fearing for what he is up to. The training was expensive; however, for us it was between that and rehoming our animal, and was definitely well worth every penny. Thank you - Warren and Emily.

We have had such a wonderful experience working with Flash Dog. My dog has struggled with reactivity towards other dogs after being attacked by another dog prior to us adopting her. Before to working with Flash Dog, I had worked with two other trainers, including a board and train, without success in her reactivity. After completing the board and train with Flash Dog and several follow up lessons, we have successfully been able to pass dogs while walking on our leash with success (a huge accomplishment). I appreciated the support that we have received in the midway and follow up lessons, the non-judgmental support in helping me be the best handler, and willingness to respond to email or schedule extra follow ups when needed. The e-collar training she received was definitely designed to go at her pace and be a commination device vs being used as a punishment. My dog had prior experience with an e-collar that increased her reactivity and led to negative associations with the stimulus. The trainers at Flash Dog worked to re-condition her to have positive associations and she happily puts her e-collar on and it has a calming effect vs increasing her reactivity now. My dog can be a bit shy, but she gets so excited to see the trainers when we go back for our follow up sessions which tells me how well she was treated and how much they worked to build a trusting relationship with her and get to know her/her needs vs using a "cookie cutter" or "one training fits all" approach. I cannot say how different my experience was working with Flash Dog and I am so happy that we decided to take the chance and try an additional board and train with them. The training is helping my dog live her best life and was definitely worth the investment.

I can't say enough good things about FlashDog and their trainers (especially Amanda and her team). Our dog was anxious and reactive to both dogs and people when on leash and in our home/yard. After FlashDog's 3-week training program, she is off her anxiety medications, much calmer, and more willing to take direction from us. The trainers at FlashDog have helped us learn how to maintain the changes, and they continue to help us in cases where she's still having difficulties. She's a much happier dog, and her sweet affectionate personality hasn't changed.
