First Choice Canine

First choice canine training is outstanding. We have a 25 pound mix female 2 years old that was very aggressive and fearful with separation anxiety although we didn’t know that’s what it was. She would bark at people and children and we no longer would enjoy taking her out. After five weeks of intense training she is a different dog. She is happy to follow command and is far more content. It is a joy to take her outside for walks now. The whole staff worked very hard training her and we weren’t sure it was going to work midway through but she made it through! We are very very happy with all of the staff. They know dogs instinctively and how dogs think. It’s really nice to drop your dog off and after five weeks most of the work is done for you and maintenance classes assures it stays that way. Highly recommend this business. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Very worth the money.

The on and off-leash training is the best investment we've made for our dog. Because of First Choice, our dog is cool, calm, and collected in all settings — on and off-leash. Thanks to Khalid and his team of trainers, he is constantly complimented on his good behavior and composure wherever he goes. First Choice is always extremely responsive and accommodating when we need to schedule baths and/or boarding. Our dog is always happy to see them and enjoys his time under their watchful care. They also offer monthly group training that allows you to fine-tune your commands and meet a community of other dogs and their owners. I can't say enough good things about First Choice. They have made life with our pup an absolute pleasure. Every dog we ever have will go through this program!

First Choice Canine is the oasis for dog training. Khaled and his entire team are so knowledgeable about Canine psychology, training and behavior that both you and your dog feel completely comfortable and at ease upon arrival. We brought Gertrude, our 7 month old Neopolitan Mastiff, for the boarded training. During that time an unruly, strong willed puppy transitioned to a wonderful, obedient confident lady. When we went to pick her up the team spent an abundant amount of time working with my wife and I ( we needed the training more than Gertrude) and continually followed up and checked in with consult and advice. Post graduation from her initial training Khaled and the team did follow up sessions with us to help ( the humans) better understand the training and command cadence. Finally, we attended our first group class this week and were absolutely blown away. The dogs, all different breeds and sizes, line up on beds outside and work with the owners. The first choice team knows or gets to know every owner and dog and tailors specific instruction to your goals. I cannot recommend enough attending group classes, even if just to see the magic in action. First Choice Canine is the diamond in the rough. I have used other training programs in the past with other dogs and nothing compares. Highly highly highly recommend. Khaled and First Choice Canine are the only trainers we will ever use. The First Choice crew are amazing. We sent our dog to their 5 week aggressive dog board and train program and could not be happier with the results. Our dog was dealing with some serious aggression / reactivity issues that started during COVID lockdown. It was at the point that he couldn't be across the street from any dog without lunging and barking. Living in an apartment building, his reactivity made life incredibly difficult. Other trainers weren't able to fix his behavior (or at least provide any path forward that wouldn't have taken months if not years). Sending him to board and train was our last hope it felt like. He came back a completely different dog in every way that we wanted to change, but kept all of his sweet fun-loving personality. He can now walk past other dogs, share elevators and even be introduced to other dogs. He used to be incredibly needy and would bark at us for attention - now he is confident and so much calmer at home. They really care about making your dog become the best version of themselves. When we took him back for follow-up training sessions, he was so excited to see them which made us confident that he truly enjoyed his time in the program. I'm not exaggerating when I say they gave us our lives back. If you struggle with reactivity and aggression, this program is worth every penny.
