We purchased one of the Fetching Feathers puppies and she is such a great quality dog! She’s calm, sweet and very smart. Fetching Feathers also trained her for three months in bird dog training and obedience. We were invited to go visit every two weeks to work on some training of our own. Anthony is knowledgeable and kind and our pup loved him. No fluff just hard working trainers in a clean well cared for facility. Definitely recommend!!

I purchased one of the Fetching Feathers bred pups early last year as my first hunting dog. He was even tempered and eager to please right out of the gate. Integrated into the family with 2 corgis, chickens, and horses like he was born here. Just picked him up from Anthony in Colorado after sending him to training for 3 months and am wildly impressed with the transformation. Hunted over him on the final day and found him steady with a very solid base of electronic and whistle commands. Anthony was patient with all my silly questions and gave prompt responses and excellent weekly videos of the progress. Look no further than Fetching Feathers for a pup or training. I'll be back for as many as the wife won't kill me over!

I bought my GSP pup from Fetching Feathers and had her trained there as well. I work in the hunting industry and have owned and been around my share of bird dogs — including some absolute hammers. Anthony’s breeding program, kennel operation and training methods are all elite. It shows in the dog — athletic, obedient, driven, and built to hunt. We couldn’t speak more highly of our experience working with Anthony and Mike for our German Shorthaired Pointer, Gemma. We brought Gemma home in June 2025, and from the very beginning, Anthony’s knowledge and passion for his dogs were evident. He took the time to match us with the right puppy based on our household and desired temperament, which made all the difference. The early training foundation—house and crate training, along with exposure and socialization—made for an incredibly smooth transition into our home and turned what can be a challenging puppy phase into a very manageable one. What truly sets this experience apart, though, is that it never felt transactional. Anthony has remained a genuine, ongoing resource for advice and guidance, which has been invaluable throughout our journey. When we enrolled Gemma in the training program, both Anthony and Mike demonstrated professionalism and a true dedication to their work. While three months without your dog can feel like a long time, we received regular, personalized updates with photos and videos that showed her progress every step of the way. The in-person visits were especially meaningful—they allowed our family to stay involved in Gemma’s development while also helping me grow as a handler and dog owner. Those visits made the time pass quickly and, in my opinion, helped ease any potential separation anxiety. Now, at just under a year old, Gemma is a well-trained, obedient gun dog and bird dog. We love taking her out and constantly receive compliments on both her behavior and appearance. Overall, our experience has been second to none. I would highly recommend Fetching Feathers to anyone looking for exceptional trainers who are not only highly skilled but also deeply passionate about both dogs and their owners.
