Joe and Allie are fantastic at what they do. The facility is clean and very well kept, and the yards for the dogs are huge! I've had the pleasure of working with them numerous times - Joe has trained many dogs from two animal shelters that I have worked for. Those dogs have had their lives changed because of Joe and Allie. They are a very valuable resource to the shelter and rescue community! When it came time to board my dogs, I refused to send them anywhere but Foster Dog Farms. The only other person I've trusted to watch my dogs is mom! While I was busy getting married, I knew my dogs were safe and happy the entire time.

Joe is an experienced, dedicated, highly skilled, caring trainer. I volunteer at two shelters and have personally known 4 dogs that were fortunate enough to get the opportunity to participate in foster dog farms board and train program. Each of these dogs entered Joes program with various behavioral issues significant enough to affect their adoptability and ultimately their futures. In each case Joes training led to remarkable transformations leading to great adoptions and dogs now able to be adopted. I’ve recently had the good fortune of spending some time at FDF with Joe discussing and assisting in training sessions. Joes love of the dogs, skill and knowledge is undeniable. I feel a huge debt of gratitude to Joe for his abilities in what he does and saving lives.

I found Foster Dog Farms through the recommendation of a friend. Our 6 month old Bloodhound was extremely skittish, lacked confidence, and had some general issues with manners. Atlas is also strong as an ox. In addition, we found out that we would be moving from the suburbs of SRQ to city living in San Francisco. Initially, I was putting off training, but when we found out we were moving within weeks very suddenly, I had no choice but to take action. Despite a full schedule, FDF worked us in right away. It was tough being away from our guy, but FDF communicated with us the entire time and regularly sent adorable photos which made the process of being away from him so much easier. Toward the end of his time with FDF, right before our move, I found out that the airline needed an additional health certificate, so FDF even drove our dog to the vet to help us out and make sure that happened (the drive from FDF there and back was two hours)! On reunion day, Joe spent a great deal of time with us making we were comfortable before we left. To say we were blown away with the transformation is an understatement. While our dog has a lot of maturing to do still since he is just a puppy, Joe gave us all the tools to make sure he would be able to safely adjust to life in the city. The day of the move, we had to make quite a few transitions with travel that would have been completely impossible prior to training such as multiple trips in and out of the kennel at a busy, loud, cargo area with hydraulics constantly going off, moving cranes, horns, and traversing the airport. Throughout it all, though nervous, Atlas had the confidence to make it through one of the most challenging travel days I have ever experienced. I hate to think of what would have happened had we not used FDF. Atlas had been bitten on the face at a very young age by another dog, and therefor was especially nervous around other dogs. Before we moved he had a few playdates at friends' homes and the difference was extremely noticable. Now that we are in the city, there are so many dogs on the street and constant dog and people interactions. Those interactions would have not only been difficult in the past, but would have also involved a lot of dangerous pulling. He now has the confidence and actually enjoys meeting other dogs and playing. We will be forever grateful for the amazing care and foundation FDF has established and I could not recommend them more. Whatever your situation, I promise this investment is well worth it!

This was not our first puppy, but definitely our toughest. At only 11 weeks old he was already showing signs he would be a handful. A few trainers were recommended, but Joe was the one who took the time to hear out our issues and recommend a few training options. We decided on in person training since Max was so young. Joe was flexible and tailored each session to our needs. He was available to help in between sessions via text or phone to answer questions or concerns. Now we use Foster Dog Farms for daycare and boarding too.
