At Far Fetched Pets, we practice Doggie Development , a thoughtful, real-world approach to raising a well-adjusted dog. Since 2009, we’ve helped NYC dog owners in Upper Manhattan build lasting bonds through structured play, socialization, and training woven into every outing. Led by CCPDT Certified Dog Trainer Sam Gedymin, our services go beyond the typical walk , reinforcing calm behavior, confidence, and better manners in everyday life. From puppy foundations to adult refinement, dogs are learning the whole time. The result: a calmer, more responsive dog at home , and a better experience for both of you. Scheduling is a breeze and they make room for our dog a few times weekly. He always is picked up and brought home in a timely and professional manner, and he is SO happy when he gets back. I love all the content they post to their social media as well so we can get in on the action. Would highly recommend both their playgroup and adventure walk; both options are great for dogs that want to socialize or just need some time to sniff and get exercise!

Far Fetched Pets has changed the lives of our dogs--all for the better!! We have 2 rescued cattle dogs and both go to the 2 1/2 hour plus playgroup every weekday. All the FFP staff mix play with training and are incredibly responsible and responsive. They communicate with us all the time so we never have to worry about our pups when they are with Far Fetched. Our dogs love each staff member and the playtime and learning time they get keeps them active, motivated, and make it easier for us to continue their training and teaching on our own. We have learned so much from Far Fetched. They are the best dog playgroup in the city. (We have tried several.) We wouldn't be able to raise our cattle dogs in the city without them!
My dog has been part of the Far Fetched playgroup since autumn 2021. No matter which member of the team picks him up, my dog is SO happy to see them & go play. They're incredibly reliable, professional, and flexible with care options (extra walks, overnights, adventure walks). I couldn't ask for a better group of people to make sure my dog is well taken care of.
