Our 6-month-old Australian Labradoodle, Dylan, recently completed the 12 session in-home training program with Tanya at Family Pupz and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Tanya came to our home and worked with Dylan to help him learn the basics of proper behavior, both in our home and in the outside world. After each session she showed us what he had learned and taught us how to work with him. She observed us working together and coached us on ways to achieve the best results. She followed up each session with an email recapping areas to work on.
More importantly, the training went well beyond just teaching Dylan the basics of sit, down, stay, recall, etc. Before each session Tanya asked how Dylan was doing and if there were any areas that we would like to work on with him. She was always willing to adjust the training to accommodate his needs. The result is that he is more comfortable in our home, and we are more comfortable with his behavior.
We continue to use the techniques we learned as Dylan gets older. Thanks to Tanya and Family Pupz, we can enjoy walking around the neighborhood and parks with Dylan without constantly worrying about how he will react to people and other dogs.

Tanya has helped me with skills to positive reinforce my dog's good behaviors, and me and my dog have both made so much improvement! I can now leave my home without worrying of destructive behaviors and incessant howling or urination.
I found it very helpful to do sessions not only in my home but in the community since my goal was for my dog to be my companion in my busy life! After 5 sessions, my dog sat at a crowded brewery with me and laid down almost the whole time while ignoring other dogs. We even did a meet-and-greet with another dog in the park to help with socialization during one of our sessions.
Tanya brings fun and encouragement and knowledge to every session and has helped the bond between me and my dog instead of me being frustrated with his behaviors.
I couldn't be happier with all Tanya has done for me and Mitchell!

Tanya was wonderful to work with! We were having issues with our dog resource guarding high value food and Tanya was very intentional and thoughtful in her management of this for us. We now feel like we have to tools to be proactive, prevent and manage his resource guarding will all positive reinforcement only. Would highly recommend working with Tanya!

Tanya was so patient with our puppy! She always had trouble shooting ideas and easy ways to implement them in real life. Brooks just graduated and we couldn't have been happier with our experience.
