Exclusive Dog Training

After a traumatic experience of being attacked by one of my dogs, I called Carlos for help to understand why it happened and how to deal with it. He gave me advice on how to be more comfortable around not only my other dog but my friend’s dogs as well. He also explained to me about dominance aggression and why dogs act in certain ways. After his visit, I was able to attend a sleepover at my friend’s house without being fearful of her dog. I have also grown much more confident and comfortable with my other dog. My family and I are very grateful for all that Carlos has done for us. I highly recommend his services for anyone needing training and support.

I cannot say enough good about Carlos. His clear love for and understanding of dogs was evident from our first meeting. Listening to him teach us was an incredibly enlightening experience. I learned more about dogs in our time together than I ever knew in all my years of dog ownership. He has a way of explaining things that is unique, too. He pours what he knows into you and your dog in a way that is easy to understand and retain. He shared a wealth of knowledge about all kinds of dogs and training techniques - including what he has learned over his decade plus of training. He is a fantastically talented professional and if anyone asked me if I knew of a good dog trainer, I'd recommend him 5x over.

A few months ago we adopted our dog Holly. She's the sweetest girl, but she was having a little trouble getting settled. She had anxiety that was leading to some territorial and mildly aggressive behavior. We were afraid that our 2 yr old would stress her out and lead to a problem so we called Carlos. He was incredible! He helped us understand her and bring down her anxiety. I highly recommend him to everyone we know. Just a few weeks with him, and she's calm and loving. We've been able to host playdates with her calmly watching the kids play. Honestly, I can't say enough good things.

Desperately needed a trainer for my rescue dog. He is super sweet, but extremely dog reactive on our walks. We just started working with Carlos and he is showing us the ropes and importance of K-9 leadership. He was able to explain the reasoning behind our dog's behavior and the importance of us initiating engagement with him and not allowing him initiate the engagement or attention. He was able to confirm that our dog is just excited and wants to be social and his behavior is not related to aggression. Carlos also addressed the body language, tone, and behavior that my boyfriend and I use with our dog. He recommended some changes for us to make in order for the training to be more effective. He was patient when it took me over a few tries to understand the proper heel command form. In one session, he helped us learn how to address our dog's distractions so that he can hone in and focus. We were able to work all the way through one heel technique and he definitely has the hang of it. Im so impressed, especially considering how easily distracted our dog is. Carlos developed a game plan that specifically addresses K-9 leadership and targets correcting his dog reactiveness. My boyfriend and I are excited to work with Carlos and relieved to know that going for walks will be so much easier in the near future! I feel confident that our dog is going to thrive with this training. Carlos definitely cares about our dog and genuinely wants him to do well. Its comforting to work with someone who truly cares about our dog and is mindful about the effectiveness of the training techniques he is implementing.
