Everyday K9

My beloved pup Ziggy is an 85 lb, 1 year old Golden Retriever. He grew so fast and quickly. I had big problems. He was a big, overexcited dog that did not know what to do with himself. He would get too excited around guests and jump on them. He could never calm down. I was overwhelmed and worried, like many puppy parents, that I was in over my head. In comes Heather and Everyday K9 to SAVE OUR LIVES! She was referred on Facebook by her large community of dog parents that she has helped immensely. Everyday K9 Training is affordable and teaches YOU how to do the right things, ensuring a good life with your dog throughout the years! She gives you tools and guidance immediately and does not just help you "on the clock." My dog turned around completely after 3 classes. I actually thought she was a magician or something. We have been going for over 6 months and I have an incredible dog that people always comment on how good he is. They can't believe he is 1. Immediately my friends and family noticed a huge difference and most importantly my life became manageable and enjoyable. I learned how to help Ziggy know what to do and how to stay calm. He can now go anywhere with me, peacefully, and anyone can come over without it being a scene. Everyday K9 is a dog loving COMMUNITY that has become like family. Thank you Heather!

Thanks to Heather with Everyday K9 we are able to take our dog Bosun almost everywhere we go. We are constantly being stopped and told what a “good boy” he is and “we wish we could take our dog to places like this”, and we immediately tell them they could if they call Heather at Everyday K9. Bosun comes on walks in the park (on and off leash), out to restaurants, and even took a nap on the floor at Captain Tony’s when he joined us on our Key West vacation. By focusing on calmness (not just obedience) and teaching the human more than the dog, Heather’s goal is to help the dog fit into our lifestyles instead of catering our day to the dog. There aren’t many dog trainers, let alone people like Heather and Chad in this world, and I can’t recommend them enough. We joined the EK9 community 2 years ago with my Pitbull mix, Velvet. Velvet was about 1 year old at the time and we came in struggling with reactivity and aggression. Velvet, a rescue, who is a very nervous and anxious girl that doesn’t like when unfamiliar people or dogs approach her. Heather and Chad not only taught us how to manage this stress, but helped us build a foundation of strong obedience skills. This lead us into strong confidence building skills, off leash recall, and more real world scenarios. They have created an amazing, supportive community that makes you feel like you are not alone. Every week there are classes, pack walks, and events that are like nothing else. I have since added another member to our pack Maisie, a “Australian Pitbull” rescue. I would not have acquired a second dog without the Heather, Chad, and the support of the community. Bringing a puppy home with a dog with “issues” poses its challenges. They helped me with a plan every step of the way. Maisie and Velvet are now best friends and nearly inseparable. Maisie has helped Velvet grow even more confident than she already was, and all three of us continue to grow together everyday. I cannot recommend Everyday K9 Training enough. They have not only helped me train my dogs, but ultimately have helped me grow as a person and I truly cannot thank them enough!

I cannot recommend Heather and Chad with Everyday K9 enough! When I first brought home my 2 foster fail pitbull puppies, Lucy and Kiela, I was overwhelmed and desperate just 3 days in. They were already showing the normal puppy challenges like reactivity, anxiety, and endless energy. Heather and Chad stepped in immediately and completely changed my perspective on dog training. What makes everyday k9 so special is not just how they work with the dogs, but how they teach you in a way that really sticks. Lucy, Kiela, and now even my current foster pup, Rosalita, are thriving because of the consistent training. Because of Heather, I even picked up a new hobby—paddle boarding with my dogs! I never thought I could take two young pitbulls on the water, but she trained them (and me!)
