Eternal K9 Dog Training

We brought our 1 year old & 6 month old golden retrievers for basic obedience training because they had issues with jumping on people, counter surfing, darting out the door issues, and coming when called. We did the first few sessions one dog at a time, then did a few with both dogs. This was so great because they each learned the rules on their own in the first few sessions then when they were together they did an even better job listening. Megan was our trainer and she was such a delight. She was friendly, gave great directions and explained the Why behind what we were doing. You could totally tell she was a teacher previously. The sessions were nice because you are involved in the training because you are being trained too. My dogs were little jerks when you would try to walk them, but after Eternal K9 they don't act out when being on leash and they are easier to handle. The counter surfing has reduced, it's only when someone (not me) leaves food on the counter and leaves the house. The darting out the door has stopped too. Please note, You Have to do your homework that is sent home with you. Repetition is key, also if you don't do the work they can totally tell cuz they can see how smart your dog is and how fast they pick up on things. I'm considering the Advanced training next and if I ever go on vacation I really think I would love the board & train. We got to see a dog that was there for board and train on our last day of class & I could tell the dogs truly get trained well at Eternal K9. I found eternalk9 through my breeder and so happy I did. We drove almost 2 hours from Chicago area, and it was so worth it. I love my boy and leaving him is always hard but I never questioned how my baby would be treated being gone for a week for board and train. My 1.5 yo Doberman, needed some help with on leash walking manners and just basic listening at times, and was hoping on some recall.. he did go in with a lot of anxiety with leaving me (which I didn’t realize he had as bad as he did) but they also updated very often on how he was adjusting which was such a relief. Even tho he had a hard time first couple days I was sooooo impressed on how more well mannered my boy was in such a short time. He walks so proper next to me without pulling. His sit/lay n stay duration has increased and doesn’t move until I say “free” I work with him daily, as instructed, and I look forward to it everyday because he loves the work and structure. And I’m so proud of him. They are always responsive to questions in texts answering anything I ask, suggesting etc .. even just acknowledging his progress when I give them random updates because I’m so proud. It was the best money I’ve ever spent (n I hate spending money lol) but it was the best thing I ever did for myself and my baby. We’re even working on recall off leash which they introduced to him. And 3 weeks later he’s doing better and better. I’ll forever drive 2 hours for any further training I decide to do for my boy. So grateful
