Eric Temple Dog Training

We have a German Shorthaired Pointer we love to bring to the woods off leash. A dog with that kind of energy needs to be let loose but it was getting hard on us with him chasing deer and coyotes. We reluctantly decided to try an e-collar and we were looking for someone who could help train us with it. Friends of ours told us about how great Eric was with their dog so we scheduled a training with him. From day one we have been so impressed with Eric’s professionalism and care for our dog. He went with us to the woods multiple times to train with the e-collar. I could tell we were beyond our time one day but Eric stayed with us longer to ensure we felt comfortable with it. He didn’t have to do that but it’s the kind of guy he is. He cares and wants to help. Since then we have had Eric board our dog at his house a couple of times. This of course can be an anxious thing to do as a dog owner never mind an athletic dog who can jump. When I arrived at Eric’s and saw his setup with his yard, I felt so happy knowing my dog was going to have the time of his life and I didn’t need to worry about his safety. My dog loses his mind now when he sees Eric. Jumping and licking like crazy. It’s great to see and it’s great to have Eric in our lives helping us with our very active dog. I can’t recommend him enough.

Our experience with Eric was fantastic. We did the 4-week home school training program to work on our dog Theo’s leash pulling and recall. We were so impressed with Theo’s progress while working with Eric over the 4 weeks. What used to be a stressful and exhausting walk quickly turned into enjoyable quality time together with our dog thanks to Eric’s help. As first time dog owners we learned a lot from Eric as well. He was very encouraging and informative and put us at ease with everything. Theo really enjoyed his time with Eric each day. We also loved the idea of a home school program as my husband and I have very different schedules and it was hard to find time to be consistent and work together with Theo every day. Having Eric come to train with Theo each day and recap with us at the end of the week was extremely helpful. We made more progress in those 4 weeks than we did in almost 2 years on our own. I know when we decide to get a second dog, we will absolutely be calling Eric to work with him again in the future!

Eric is outstanding. He listens intently and is patient. He gives clear techniques when working with your dogs. Eric is positive, easy to work with and understands dog behavior. He not only provided ways to help me with my crazy Frenchie, but also fun and engaging games to increase my relationship with my dog as well. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog trainer- whether it’s to improve behaviors, basic train, or learn to improve your relationship with your dog!

Eric is one of our corgi Remy's favorite people! It's clear that Eric loves working with dogs, and dog people. Before he started working with Remy, he explained his process to us and observed our walking routine. He did a week of sessions to work on leash walking skills and the results have been great! He also went through with us what we needed to do moving forward to make sure the training sticks. Highly recommend!

Eric is an incredible dog trainer. He not only works with you to understand what your goals are, but also communicates what goals are realistic and best for the dog that you have. He uses a lot of playing with his training, and our dog has a total blast every time he works with Eric. Our dog now has near perfect recall, and Eric has given us the tools we need to understand dog training and implement our own training for any new goals that we have.
