Equilibrium Canine

I am so happy we found Nick. When we adopted our dog, Waffles, we were unsure how to train him. He would bark at every dog he saw, pull on the leash, and even bite our walls. We did not know what to do. Nick spoke to us candidly and kindly explaining that our habits affect the way our dog behaves. I have religiously followed Nick's "homework"- lots of lead drills, praising our dog for being calm and neutral. Our dog has completely changed because of Nick's training and advice. Nick is knowledgable and has inspired me to continue to show love to my dog by working and training him. We can't wait to continue to use Nick's training and expertise to better our relationship with our dog and help our dog achieve freedom.

Nick at Equilibrium totally turned our rescue hound mix around. She went from a nervous, reactive dog who was constantly pulling on leash to a confident off leash companion. Trust has been built on both sides and Nick was essential in guiding us and her on that journey. On top of individual sessions with us, we also did a board and train with Nick which absolutely helped her confidence as well and front loaded a ton of the work. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Nick. For over a year we had been looking for a trainer who could really help us with some elements of dog ownership that we just weren't able to make progress on. After cycling through a handful of trainers in the Boston area, I was lucky enough to find Nick when doing a general Google search. From our very first session, he brought forth a level of understanding, education, and professionalism that exceeded our expectations. While our dog had an amazing temperament, we struggled when walking him on lead and with his recall. We had several private sessions with Nick of which we saw strong progress, the real breakthroughs happened when we sent our little guy away for Nick's board and train program. When he came home from that program, his recall went from almost non existent to almost near perfect. Not only is he walking on a lead like a pro, Nick surprised us in that we have been able to walk him in our somewhat busy neighborhood off leash! Never in our wildest dreams did we think we could see that kind of progress and I am so happy that we found Nick. I have recommended him to everyone who has ever asked and will continue to do so as he is by far the best trainer we have had the pleasure of working with.
