My foster dog Trixie completed the Reactive dog class and had so much fun. I was really impressed with the knowledge of the trainers. Safety was a top priority and I never felt that any interactions were out of control or unexpected. They were so prepared and comfortable with reactive dogs that I never felt judged or ashamed. We learned so many new strategies and I feel like I can take away some great tools. Highly recommend!

Updated: We attended the Reactive Training Class 1 and it changed our relationship with our dog in the best way. We are so appreciative for the work that Enjoy Your Dog put into developing the course. We are looking forward to the Reactive Dog 2 class and others in the future. We have been working one-on-one with Mindy and our Australian Cattle mix Darryl. It has been going great! Mindy is very knowledgeable, and we have seen such growth in Darryl after a just few sessions. She gives us great feedback in sessions and makes sure that we understand the techniques so we can continue working with him outside of class. She's been available to answer our questions outside of class and is always willing to share tips and tricks with us. As first time dog parents, we are so happy with Enjoy Your Dog and would recommend it to all dog owners.

Enjoy Your Dog's therapy dog testing process falls short of expectations. Permitting dogs that fail a test section to practice concurrently with successful dogs is problematic. I advocate for practice sessions to occur post-testing. Furthermore, deploying a non-passing dog in the greeting test segment introduces unnecessary distractions, as handlers attend to their dog, utilize hand signals, and forfeit control, potentially impacting the focus of other canine participants.

My golden retriever has taken many classes through Enjoy Your Dog. All have been amazing and the instructors definitely know their stuff and are always willing to help you through tough issues. Each class has been fun while helping to train my dog. Yesterday we did the Out and About class with Liz. It was a blast! The class met up with Liz in downtown Downers Grove. She had us practice various commands to see how they did with distractions. We went up an elevator and sat by the train track to see their reaction to noise. They went to see the fountain and went shopping at the pet store. It was so much fun and it's evident my dog has learned so much. I was especially pleased to see he carried his lessons from his Polite Greetings class to this outing when he met a stranger on the street. I definitely recommend this business!
