Empire of the Dog Brooklyn

Denise has enriched the joy of adopting a dog during the pandemic! I am forever grateful. We adopted a dog from TX that we did not know much about. The dog is very sweet but was too timid to even go outside in Brooklyn. Denise helped us move beyond where our pup grew from timid to mischievous....and Denise was there to help us with that also. She has been graciously available for help even after our contracted time was up. We have enjoyed our pup even more than we could hope because of Denise's help!!

Denise and Empire of the Dog have been excellent to work with. Our pup, Turtle, has come a long way with the techniques and training Denise has given us. What's more, she is totally responsive along the way as new challenges arise. Very thoughtfully checked in with us about Turtle's progress and supplied tons of handouts and videos— just generally helpful materials and tips. She's super passionate and empathetic with new dog owners. We would definitely recommend Denise and Empire of the Dog to any pup parent!

Love love love Denise and Empire of the Dog. We reached out as brand new dog parents when our floof Mochi was a puppy, and I'm so glad that we did! We learned so much more than what I expected and I walked away feeling confident and in control of our puppy. Denise was always available for extra questions by phone and email if we had difficulty implementing some of the techniques we learned. What I loved most about Denise was that she helped us get to know our dog. She helped us understand what he was telling us with his behavior, and she taught us how to LEAD the dog/human relationship vs the other way around. We now have a well-behaved dog, the humans are in charge, and a lifelong friend in Denise. Denise is truly wonderful. My dog Sesame was biting, barking and peeing in the house when I first adopted her, because of anxiety. After 1 lesson I learned how to relate to Sesame in a whole new way. How to use treats and positive reinforcement to reward her for good behavior and change her ways. She literally stopped peeing in the house after her FIRST lesson. After 2 lessons Sesame was doing tricks and learning new commands. I have so much more confidance in how I relate to her and clearly Sesame loves the attention and stimulation. I'd like to use Denise for as long as I possibly can! The information is endless. Not to mention she leaves detailed notes to study and remind me of what we worked on. All in all, I'd give 10 stars if I could. It's been a positive, excellent experience working with Denise.
