Emerald Dog Training

Since my German Shepherd Colombo has worked with Jey in her Board and Train and the sessions included in that program my relationship with Colombo has blossomed. Prior to training, Colombo’s reactivity on leash and inconsistent obedience caused me an immense amount of stress. She would pull on leash, bark at dogs in our neighborhood and was exhibiting a lot of anxious behavior. I really wanted more for Colombo and Jey’s training gave us that. Jey worked with Colombo AND me. She taught me how to be a strong leader for Colombo and keeps things simple. As a first time dog owner I can now enjoy going on walks with Colombo in busier areas without leash pulling and reactive behavior, and I can play with her at the park stress free. Every step of the way I felt comfortable having Colombo in Jey’s care, Colombo even continues to board with Jey when I am out of town which is lovely given she can maintain her routine and training. I reach out to Jey for general guidance and they are always happy and eager to provide insight. I had worked with two trainers prior to working with Jey and both times I left worried that my relationship with Colombo wouldn’t strengthen. Working with Jey was the fix. Colombo is thriving. My sister and brother speechless at the transformation Colombo had during board and train. She’s still her goofy, silly self but confident and calm in the outside world and listens when I communicate with her. If you’re looking for a way to strengthen your relationship with your dog and give yourself and your dog more freedom and confidence, I couldn’t recommend working with Jey enough. I can enjoy being a dog owner and leader for Colombo more than ever!

I had originally met Jey at the Doberman rescue pack walks and loved the training Jey was doing with the pups. So we decided to move forward with the board & train program for our new rescue, Peanut! We had a great experience with Jey (Emerald Dog Training) and have been recommending Jey to all our friends & coworkers. Seeing the improvement in how Peanut listens, no reactivity to passing dogs, growth in confidence, etc. have been so rewarding!!
