Elite Paws K9 Training

We cannot recommend Cayla enough to anyone in need of training for their pup! We adopted Abby from a rescue when she was one. We could tell she had some training, but was a bit reactive to people. Although she loves playing with dogs, when she is on a leash, she acts like she could eat them up. We worked on training in home for a while and somethings improved. After a weekend in the ER Vet, Abby seemed to have lost all her confidence and became reactive to, well everything. Working from home was almost impossible as her fear caused her to bark incessantly. Every little noise, crack, loud car, or just the wind, would make her bark. We tried so many techniques to help her but all she really needed was her confidence back. We were caring for an elderly parent in our home and were not able to work with her as intensely as she needed. We talked about board and train in the past and even spoke to a couple different places. But life happened and we couldn't get it going. Cayla was recommended by a friend who's pit mix seemed to have the same issues. We met with Cayla, talked about our issues and made a plan. She has been amazing! Abby is a different dog. The barking has all but stopped. She still lets us know when someone is at the door, but will stop. Big improvement! The daily updates and video's helped us with missing Abby and we could see the progress every day. Cayla has been helpful with questions after go home day. She's patient and flexible and we're even using her for boarding both our dogs for upcoming vacation. If you are in need of training for your dog, call her. There are not enough superlatives for Cayla and Elite Paws K9 Training. Our first experience with Cayla was for pet sitting. We were blown away by how thorough and communicative she was. We have geese, chickens and a spicy Macaw and she cared for them all professionally and as if they were her own pets. Prior to the above experience, she did 2 meet and greet visits with our sweet (to us) but quite reactive Pit mix, Frances. She gave Frances time and space to get accustomed to her and allowed some closely monitored socialization with her APB, Rolex. At that time, we discussed possibly having Frances with her in a board and train. We then decided that this would be a valuable experience for Frances and give us a pet we could take on hikes. Fast forward to today. Frances has been home for 4 days and when I say her behavior has made a 180, that is no exaggeration! We have NEVER been able to take her in public, or even to get a Pup Cup (which she loves) as she very much behaved as if she was going to come through the window to the Barista. She has perfect off leash recall and listens the first time a command is given. I forgot to mention that Frances is 8 1/2-so you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, or at least Elite Paws K9 can!

We boarded our husky, Kyra, and our 1 yr old mini aussiedoodle, Wally, with Cayla. This was Wallys first time away from us but she did really great with both of them. We added a training session for Wally to help him learn to walk on the leash and watching the video of him doing so good was amazing ❤️ We’ll definitely be bringing them back and highly recommend Cayla if you need some training or boarding or both!
