If I could give Andy’s Elite Canine a -10 stars, I would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I paid approximately $3,500 for a board-and-train program for my dog, Luka, about two years ago. I brought him there because I had several specific behavioral issues I wanted addressed and trusted that I was leaving him with professionals. A few days into the program, I was contacted because Luka had stopped eating, and I was told to come pick him up. Throughout the process, I repeatedly asked for photos and videos of Luka. Simon, the owner, had told me that photos/videos would be provided, but I received nothing. To this day, I have no idea what happened during the time my dog was in their care or what training methods were actually used with him. What was most upsetting was the condition Luka was in when I got him back. The behavioral issues I specifically brought him there to address had not improved, and in my experience, he came home more fearful and more aggressive than before. I picked up a dog who seemed more frightened than when I dropped him off. Afterward, Simon suggested one-on-one training, but considering I had already spent $3,500 and had no visibility into what had happened during the board-and-train, I had lost confidence in the process. I was then told that I needed to “re-commit” to my dog and “rebond” with him, which was incredibly frustrating to hear after trusting them with my dog and paying thousands of dollars for professional help. The difference with my current trainer has been unbelievable. After only TWO sessions, Luka is practically unrecognizable in the best possible way. I’m finally seeing the behavioral improvements I had originally paid Andy’s Elite Canine thousands of dollars to help me achieve. I rarely feel this strongly about leaving a negative review, but when it comes to trusting someone with your dog, especially overnight and out of your sight, transparency and trust are everything. Based on my experience, I would never leave my dog in their care again and cannot recommend them.

We had an amazing experience with Elite K9 Group in Sherman Oaks. Before training, our dog had issues with nipping, pulling on the leash, and not listening to basic commands. Walks were stressful, and we couldn’t fully enjoy having him around guests or in public. After completing their 4-week board and train program, our dog came back completely different. I had an incredible experience with Elite K9 Group in Sherman Oaks. I brought them my one-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd for eight weeks of basic obedience and off-leash training, and the results are absolutely phenomenal. Before training, he had typical young Shepherd energy and distractions were a challenge. After the program, he walks right by my side with zero distractions. His obedience is sharp, reliable, and consistent. The transformation in his focus and behavior is honestly impressive. Now I truly enjoy this dog every single day with my family. The trainers were professional, structured, and clearly very experienced with working breeds. They didn’t just train the dog — they educated me as well, which made a huge difference in maintaining the results at home. I also had the chance to see one of their fully trained protection dogs during a demonstration, and it was incredible. The control, discipline, and stability of the dog were on another level — confident, powerful, but completely obedient and safe around the family. Especially these days in Los Angeles with crime being high, having a properly trained protection dog gives real peace of mind. We’re already planning to continue into protection work with them after this program.
