Our 1-1/2 year old Golden Retriever Ranger is a super sweet, pretty well behaved member of our family. His biggest fault is that he loves people so much; and he presumes everyone loves him as much and with as much enthusiasm as he obvious feels for them! Because we own two vacation rentals and have guests coming and going all year long, we need every member of our family on their best behavior all the time! So, we hired Phil with Eagle Fleece Kennels and Training to teach Ranger basic obedience. We are so happy with the results! Phil was obviously a great teacher with proof in his now-very-polite canine student! Phil also did a great job teaching this dog mom and dad how to bring out the best in their pup! We plan to be diligent in continuing to practice Ranger's new skills in polite behavior! We have also boarded Ranger at Eagle Fleece Kennels twice outside of the month-long training Ranger received. Ranger obviously enjoyed his stays as each time we go back, Ranger is eager to see his friend Phil! We highly recommend Eagle Fleece! Although it was hard to be apart from our beloved pet for a month; Phil was able to teach some lessons we simply were not finding success to teaching Ranger ourselves! As my wise sister-in-law said to me when I was bemoaning being separated from my dog, "If he comes back to you as promised, your investment of a month apart will be worth the lifetime of a wonderful companion!" She was absolutely right!

We brought our 1 1/2 year old male yellow lab to Phil for training back in January 2022. Before our dog was brought here he would get so excited to see people and jump on them. If he got off his very long leash in the backyard when outside he would bolt and run away. He is a very, very energetic, loving dog and choosing to send our dog to training for up to 6 weeks was a rough one because being apart from him was rough, but let me tell you was it well worth it. Now, he only jumps once (if that, mostly to see if he can get one kiss in before they say no, if we say no before he jumps he won’t jump at all) when people walk in the door, once someone says no, he sits so he can all the pets, and everyone happily obliges now. People use to get very overwhelmed by him when they came over because he is so excited and just wants to get all of their attention. After training people enjoy his company and always want to give him more attention. When he is outside he no longer needs to be on the leash and can play freely with his 5 year old dog sister. He loves to catch all the balls before she can get them. He stays in the yard but even if he does wonder a bit, you say “here” and he is back. We are just so grateful now others get to enjoy our loving, very energetic baby boy as much as we do, and it all thanks to Eagle Fleece Kennel! They are wonderful and took such great care of him! Phil also always replied back whenever we asked how he was doing and sent pictures! Would 10/10 recommend sending your dog here for training, not only did the training make our lives more enjoyable with our love, but it has really done wonders in Our dogs happiness as well, he always has a smile on his face now.

My 10 month old lab went to training with Phil at Eagle Fleece Kennels & Training, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the business and outcome! My puppy is an entirely different dog when it comes to listening. Gus needed extra help learning how to walk on a leash, and with Phil and his daughters expertise, he came back to me walking like a pro! I would recommend this business to anyone. Great establishment, and atmosphere. I will be using Eagle Fleece to board my dog when needed as well!

We started boarding our lab puppy at Eagle Fleece last fall when we would visit our children out of town. While I was nervous at first, having never boarded a dog, my fears were alleviated after the very first stay. Our puppy was very well cared for, happy, and eager to go back each time. The great experience our puppy had while there, led us to having him obedience trained at Eagle Fleece as well. Prior to his training, our puppy was completely out of control and we had second guessed getting him. Our lives were chaos! He spent over a month working with Phil at Eagle Fleece and I can say without hesitation that we have a new dog. He still has puppy playfulness and still gets excited but he listens to us and is so enjoyable to be around! Phil, with some help from his daughter, does an amazing job and truly cares for the animals that they work with. Our dog will be going back this summer for field training. The kennel set up is ideal and very clean, with a large area for outdoor activity. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our dog and will continue to use the boarding and training services.
