The Advanced Training course can start a few months after the Gun DogTraining course or after the Gun Dog course and a Hunting Season. We have had 2 years of trial and error finding the right place to board our pups. I am very particular about where we leave our furry friends and Dustin Retrievers did not let us down! Not only happy with their boarding area with ample space but they additionally offer a board and train option. This has significantly impacted our pups lifestyle for the better with improved basic manners and especially with recall. We truly cannot thank them enough for working with us and our chaotic schedule as well. I will not board our pups anywhere else except here at the MT location. HIghly recommend. Our boys Ripp and Rye are comfortable and love when they stay.

I can’t speak at all about their training in Montana, it may be top notch but their operation in Sutter CA is borderline fraudulent. Constant turnover of trainers (my lab went through their gun dog program) and in 4 months had 3 different trainers - not 3 different day to day but one would quit then they’d bring in someone new then they’d leave and another would be hired. They had one guy with no dog training experience doing the force breaking. They made lots of promises (the owners) about what they do in their program and very very little of that was even touched in the training. I dropped off a very obedient lab with a ton of drive and when I picked up my dog he was only incrementally more advanced. Along the way I would contact them and they’d tell me he was progressing very well and right in track. Steer clear of these people at least in terms of gun dog training at their Sutter Ca location
