I would be more than happy to share all emails and correspondence to any client or potential client that would like to know more about the facts regarding this review. <br>You inquired asking us to certify your dog as a service dog. I asked if it needed trained and you said no it was already task trained. I responded we do not certify dogs that we do not train through our program. I gave you recommendations in another email that you did not share on here. You did not like those recommendations, so you responded with the understanding that because we are a for profit we only want people to go through our program. I emailed back and yes stated that because you do not know how we are structured and you need to understand better why we will not certify you. You then proceeded again not to share the email that you stated you were taking the dog on an international flight and needed it certified. <br>The certification will not override the U.S Department of Transportation approval which is only for flights in the US. and only approved by the airlines. International flights you need to contact the country you are flying into and see what their approval status is, and if they require the dog to be ADI certified or not. These are things outside of the ADA law. However because you did not get the response you wanted from me you decided to tell me your husband is an attorney in Lima Ohio who specializes in ADA laws and that you will give us a bad review and possibly seek a discrimination lawsuit. According to the supremecourt.ohio.gov website your husband is not a licensed attorney however I do see that he is an assistant for an attorney in Lima. I am happy to discuss this further with his attorney he works for regarding the laws that maybe I do not understand or I am uneducated on. I am always willing to learn anything new regarding the laws on what we do for a living and have done for over 33 years now. According to the Ohio law a service dog in training has the same rights as the person with the disability if they are a trainer with a non-profit organization holding a certificate of liability insurance. Which our service dog agency is a non-profit and we carry that liability insurance.<br>We as trainers and advocates for the disabled and service dog community we have a responsibility to them to make sure we follow the state and federal laws and the dogs are tasked trained for the person with the disability. We have requirements for that because we also have a responsibility to the community in which we are training and certifying dogs in that the dogs are well trained and the handler can be compliant according to the ADA law keep their dog under control in public and be respectful to others around them in the establishments they are in. In example I have seen on Facebook a dog in a service dog in training vest at a restaurant sitting on the seat of the booth with the person. As this may not be illegal but is definitely unethical and is what causes people to be turned off by or not be as understanding to service dogs. This is what happens when people are not mindful that the dog should be under the table and unseen and not on the seat and head able to reach the food on the table. Anyone including you should understand that not every dog should be a service dog and there are requirements that are needed to be followed for that very reason.<br>In closing again, I do wish you the best of luck. I will not respond again to you as I have stated my case on this review but will gladly speak to your attorney if you would like me to on this situation.
