Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training

I was so pleased with Ducktown Lodge! My dog Toby was only with them for a few days, but they made sure to send me daily videos and pictures. This was the first time I had left Toby anywhere, and they were able to give me peace of mind while I was away. I was very impressed with how clean and peaceful everything was. Toby was very happy and loved by both Sara and Lucinda. They made sure to give him lots of attention and he definitely loved both of them! I will be using Ducktown lodge again when I need to board Toby! We sent Toby back after a good experience with boarding for his board and train. Toby struggled with pulling on the leash, listening the first time we said a command, and would often be distracted on walks. Sara did a phenomenal job! She worked on all our concerns plus more with Toby. Sara sent us updates daily on how his training was going and what they were doing. Sara is an amazing trainer and is very knowledgeable. Toby is a very large dog and we struggled with how stubborn he can be, but she was able to give us many tips on what do to in many situations. After his training was complete she trained us on all his new commands and made sure we were confident in what we were doing. Sara and Lucinda are both very personable and answer any questions even after training is completed. I have had great experiences with both boarding and training and I am very happy with both my experiences. I could not recommend them more!

I’m so glad I found Ducktown Lodge! From the moment I met Lucinda and Sara I knew I’d found the perfect place for my GSD to stay when we’re away. I felt so at peace when I was there and so did my GSD, which is saying something for a high energy dog! She sat calmly under the magnolia trees with her nose in the air just taking it all in. I was really shocked at how calm my Bella was, even on drop off day she was happy to be there. (She never looked back when they took her from me! Which is a first!) The kennel is perfect. It is clean, well constructed, and has plenty of room. They really did think of everything when they designed it. The outside play area is a great size, with lots of grass to run around in and it has great privacy fencing. I knew I wanted somewhere that felt like home, and it does because it is home. I also wanted somewhere that wasn’t over crowded, I love that they only keep a small number of dogs. I wanted my girl to be somewhere that would give lots of one on one attention and would truly play with her. They did exactly that! I loved getting updates and pictures of Bella while I was out of town. She was truly happy and having a good time, which really helped me relax knowing she was in the right place. Plus, it helps to get to know the people that are caring for your pup! I will never go anywhere else, Ducktown Lodge is part of our family now and will always be Bella’s home away from home when we travel.

We are the lucky owner of Nala, a beautiful Ducktown Retriever American Labrador. It's wonderful to have the ability to board or board and train Nala at Ducktown Lodge when we are traveling to places there it's difficult to bring her. It's the best feeling knowing that she is with someone that cares for her as she was their own. You can see on Nala how happy she gets to see Lucinda or Sara when she arrives at Lodge 😍 We fully hearted recommend Ducktown Lodge for your boarding and training needs. The Lannek Family
