DSL-Dog as a Second Language Dog Training

I had to say goodbye to my American Bulldog a year ago. I knew it was time for another dog. I love bulldogs and know that is the only breed for me. This time around I knew I needed something smaller, so I started looking at Olde English Bulldogs. Instead of buying one for an exorbitant price, I feel in love with an 11 month old that needed a new home. This brings me to DSL. Even though I loved our new boy, he had very little proper training and had also learned a lot of negative behaviors. He was destroying everything in our house, trying to eat the cats and jumping in peoples face when they came to the house and could not be walked on a leash. I found DSL just through Google and gave them a chance. I am so glad I did. Alfredo is amazing. Walter gets super exited everything Thursday and tries to jump in the car all day, because he knows Thursday is his day to go see Alfredo. We are through the first 6 weeks of training and Walter is a different dog and I am a different owner. He has taught me so much, I feel like the training is more for me than for Walter. Anyways, we are moving on to more advanced training with Alfredo now, but I cannot recommend Alfredo and DSL enough. You will not be disappointed.

Alfredo has done wonders to help both Steve and myself in handling Boudreaux our standard 5 year old Poodle get acclimated to new situations. Alfredos training philosophy and style are incredibly effective and we saw results in just a few days. Alfredo was able to train Boudreaux to stay, remain calm when having guests, walk nicely on a leash, and not to bark at passing vehicles. We are so grateful for Alfredo and his sweet wife Sonny’s time, attention and expertise and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. They care about dogs and their owners and we loved every minute of it. We would definitely work with him again as needed and look forward to staying in touch.

Alfredo was great to work with, and he really helped us with our lab, Teddy. Being a rescue dog, Teddy is often skittish with others and Aldredo totally won him over! We are now able to greet visitors in our house without our dog getting too anxious or active and we are able to walk past other dogs in the neighborhood with better control. I highly recommend the Boot Camp, as you will get training for your dog consistently in your home in your dog's environment. Alfredo can see how your dog responds and will give you the tools you need to live better with your furry friend and to help change any bad dog behaviors.
