Dreamy Skies Dog Training

We are very fortunate to have found Karen and Dreamy Skies. Maizy (our dog of many years) and Violet (our new dog) were having trouble getting along. Maizy seemed outright mean toward Violet, and Violet could be very irritating. We were afraid we might not be able to keep them both. But Karen solved that problem and taught us much, much more. Karen really connects emotionally with the dogs. She has quite a curriculum that she gives to the owners over an extended period. It is a lot of homework, but if you do it, you and your dogs will be much happier. Karen is fabulous and runs a great business. Five stars without reservation!

Our dog Cash developed progressive anxiety with reactive behavior when he was about 2 years old. Karen helped us to understand how to calm him, using multiple techniques that we found to be very effective. She takes a holistic approach, including evaluating nutrition, recommending different ways of responding to problematic behaviors, and a progressive "grade school" model of developing a skill set for your dog when he is faced with challenges and behavior triggers. Cash is doing much better now! She gives written handouts to help remind you about the lessons learned in training, and is available by email with any questions or concerns. We also boarded Cash with her when we were away. In contrast to a previous experience with another sitter, Cash did very well with her and had no setbacks while we were gone. We highly recommend her training and boarding services. Cash will miss her now that he has graduated!

Dreamy Skies is incredible. Karen worked with us step by step, with a lot of patience and guidance. Under Karen’s training, our large and powerful dog went from leash reactive towards all other dogs to calm and controlled on his walks all over the city, where he encounters dozens of dogs every day. When people comment on his calm demeanor and say he is a “gentle giant” we know it is thanks to Karen.
