Dream Dogs

Awesome boarding! This place is on three acres and it has a farm or ranch feeling. The staff is wonderful. The dogs have big play space indoor and out. SiSi gets suited up in a life jacket to swim on hot days. We’ve done training there also and it was terrific. I just need to do review sessions….hopefully in the near future. I’ve sent several friends there for one-on-one training or boarding and they have all had great experiences!

I had happily boarded my dog at Dream Dogs several times before, so I was shocked when, after requiring a paid three-day "induction" just two weeks before my three-week international trip, they informed me they would not honor my boarding reservation. I was left scrambling to find alternative care at the last minute. To make matters worse, when I requested a refund of my prepaid deposit, I was initially told they had no record of it. I had to provide my American Express statements to prove the payment. The deposit was eventually refunded, but the $180 induction fee was not. I absolutely understand that boarding facilities must make difficult decisions about which dogs they can safely accept. My disappointment is not with the decision itself, but with the timing and the way it was handled. If there was any possibility my dog would not be accepted, I believe that should have been determined long before I was relying on them for an international trip, especially after several successful past boardings. Instead, when I went to pick him up after the last day of induction, I was calmly told that my reservation two weeks hence would not be honored. It breaks my heart to write this review because they're great with dogs. This experience, however, was unacceptable. If you're relying on a boarding reservation for upcoming travel, I would confirm well in advance that your reservation is still secure.
