Draxen Farms

We had the most incredible experience at the herding farm! Even though we visited during the off-season, Mike was so kind and welcoming. He took the time to show us around, shared stories about the farm, and made us feel like honored guests. My dog had never seen sheep before in his life, but the moment he was introduced to them, his herding instincts kicked in. It was amazing to witness. Watching him do what he was bred to do was something I’ll never forget. The farm itself is absolutely beautiful, full of heart and love. My dog even got to splash around in a little water tub afterward, and I honestly think it was the happiest day of his life. Mike’s four dogs are wonderful too. Every single one has such a unique personality and added to the charm of the visit. I’m so grateful to Mike for creating such a special place. This wasn’t just an activity. It was an unforgettable experience that I’ll always remember. We’ll definitely be back very soon!

What a great experience! We enjoyed meeting other dogs and dog owners. The owner, Mike, is an exceptional trainer of humans and dogs. With our Australian Shepherd, he gave us great cues and tips and he provided her with wonderful sheep-herding opportunities! Mike saw with each run, our Aussie needed more challenge and spontaneity; by the third trial (on her first visit), she did a remarkable job, was so proud of herself and was so happy to be helpful!
