FirstBarkI also can't speak to their training because I only experienced a conversation on the phone. I had sent an email asking about their methods because I am uncomfortable with e-collars and have a stranger aggressive, unpredictable dog. Long story short, the phone conversation didn't go well. No thanks to Downtown Dogs.

About Downtown Dogs Chicago
Our dog training system sets up a communication system with your dog through markers. The learning phase is all through positive reinforcement. As the dog becomes fluent in the communication skills, the dog trainer introduces other quadrants of learning for the dog to be able to work through distraction and learn to control his/her impulses. The product is a happy, eager, attentive and obedient dog!

From the very first phone call, through our pups dog training and now using Downtown Dogs for boarding when out of town, this place is THE BEST! Extremely professional and accommodating. They send updates on your pup and treat them as their own. I can’t recommend this place more!
I could not recommend downtown dogs enough. We sent our boy Hugo there for a 3 week training course, and he came back a different dog! Previously, he wouldn't walk down the block without stopping, and now he is heel trained like an angel. We use them for our boarding services as well, and they are very trustworthy and good boarders! Ari and Aliyah rock Hugo's socks. 10/10

We are so incredibly thankful our friends told us about Ari, Aliya and Downtown Dogs. When we moved from Tennessee to Milwaukee, our rescue pittie mix started acting out and was not allowed back at our local daycares. We took him to Downtown Dogs for the 3 week training program, and we could not believe the transformation. He was always a great dog, but his obedience is outstanding (and so impressive to all of our visitors). We continue to make the trip to Chicago for follow up sessions and more training. We cannot recommend this team enough!!
