Holistic Dog Training and Owner Education. Our owner and lead trainer holds a degree in veterinarian medicine with a specialization in ethology (U.N.A.M.), which is the study of animal behavior. We have over 25+ years of experience working thousands of dogs, big and small! We train pets, service, and protection dogs. Our method, no matter the purpose of the training, begins with channeling your dog's natural instincts to build an unbreakable bond. From there you can teach a dog to do just about anything and do it with heart and soul!

We got a Belgian Malinois without even realizing what that really meant, and honestly… we were struggling. Mila wasn’t listening, she was constantly barking, throwing herself at family members, and being very aggressive. It got to a point where we knew we needed real help. That’s when we found Downright Dog Training. From the beginning, we explained everything we were dealing with, and they guided us through the entire process. They took Mila in and took amazing care of her—she truly loves them. When we got her back, it was like having a completely different dog. She was more open, more trusting, and just overall amazing. That’s when we realized we also needed to change the way we were handling and caring for her. One of my favorite things is that we have a group chat just for Mila. Anytime I have a question, I go straight there and they always respond and guide me. I also love keeping them updated with photos and videos of her progress. Mila has transformed so much. She went from being aggressive and not letting anyone get close to her, to being loving, playful, and social. Now we can take her to friends’ houses and she does great with everyone. We’ve even started working on new tricks, and she genuinely enjoys it. We’ve been in this process for almost a year now, and I can confidently say this was one of the best decisions we made. I 100% recommend Downright Dog Training—they are amazing, and we’ve had the best experience with them
Kimberly could not be nicer to speak to. Called her with questions about my cat. She offered to have her husband come over personally to help me give her her medication as she is very finicky. I could not recommend them more highly. It's clear they truly care about your pets and helping people aby way they can.

They work with your dog and with you to make sure you understand the handling. Their Step Zero philosophy makes so much sense and is a positive way for your dog to learn what is expected of them.
