Dove's Dog Academy & More!

Do not recommend. Went to see my 4 mo old pup 7 days into a board/train program with this facility. She looked terrified, her eyes were red and puffy. I immediately got her into the vet, Mr Dove says he didn’t see whatever I was seeing as far as illness and acted as if I was overreacting. However, the vet diagnosed and treated her for CONTAGIOUS pink eye and ear infection. Mr. Dove was more concerned with telling me that if I didn’t bring her back within 24hrs I forfeit her spot and lose the monies paid for this “training”. Not once did he ask about her health or if there was something they needed to address in the facility etc. He avoided my questions and concerns with no regard. Do your research before taking your pet to any boarding/kenneling place. You CANT trust Google reviews or any reviews for that matter as they can be false and negatives hidden or removed. Response: The reasons for removing my pup and all of the above statements are true and documented from our text conversations, where at no point did I remove her for financial. As you noted I took out a loan to ensure that you were paid for your service. When you did not provide clear updates, made inappropriate un-business like comments towards me etc. and the main fact my dog was sick, I removed her. If it was anything financial wouldn’t I fulfill the training since it’s paid for? No one in a financial bind would willingly lose over $2000 just because we miss a pet. She was removed due to Illness, lack of transparency, falsely advertising what your business was providing etc. Also I suggest reading said training agreement under the “services” section. Also you never said anything about an in home program in the future. I was told it was not an option.

We brought our 6 year old bloodhound rescue to Dove's because of his severe agresiveness towards men and his constant pulling while walking. Roscoe had been a street dog for a couple years and Willie agreed with our opinion that he had been severely traumatized. After 3 weeks of doggie boot camp at Dove`s the difference is almost unbelievable. After 3 days at home his barking at strangers near the house is more appropriate, walking him is a breeze and when meeting strangers his demeanor is watchful, but no aggression and he is happy to get to get some petting and ear scratching. The difference is night and day. We will happily recommend Willie and Dove's Dog Academy. Money well spent!

We had a big problem when I got married and moved to a new house with my dog Sophie. She had so much anxiety and fear she was acting out in aggressive behavior. I am so grateful I found Willie and Doves Dog Academy because she is a new dog! She spent three weeks in the board and train program. Willie came out to the house and helped us work through a few issues as well and I can’t believe the change in my beloved Sophie! We are one big happy family now. Dove's Dog Academy has been very helpful in training my dog. He has gone to their facility two times and has learned so much both times. He came back a different dog each time around. He listens so much better and knows commands. We are now able to go on walks with him without pulling since we are using his gentle leader and the use of his e-collar has made a huge difference in listening. He was doing a lot of counter surfing and being stubborn but not anymore. Even with the e-collar off he listens so much better.
