Hands down, the best trainer and caregiver I’ve ever met. We boarded our dog, Gustav—an 85lb Dutch Shepherd—with Don for over two weeks, and we will absolutely return to him for future boarding, daycare, and training sessions. Don is brilliantly attuned to the needs and relationships between dogs, people, and their environments, and his training always reflects that. Gustav has tons of energy and can be a reactive, which makes finding the right care challenging. Don helped him manage his sensitivities, play well and learn from other dogs, while teaching us how to better support him. For example before training with Don, Gustav would bark and rush toward someone just for walking across the street. After his stay with Don, he encountered the same stimulus and showed noticeable restraint. Beyond his exceptional training, Don naturally explains his methods and how to apply them in everyday care. We left feeling inspired to continue the positive training he started and grateful to have such a knowledgeable and supportive resource in Don for any future needs. We’re so grateful for Don’s care and will highly recommend him to anyone.

Don’s Pals is absolutely fantastic! Our dogs adore spending time with Don, and we always feel completely at ease leaving them in his care when we're out of town. His love for dogs is evident in everything he does, from engaging playtime to exciting adventures around Pittsburgh. He goes above and beyond to make sure the pups are happy and active, and our dogs especially love paddle boarding with him! Don is the absolute best. Our dog has been going to his daycare for a little over a year now weekly and boarded several times. She loves all of wide range of activities - from paddle boarding, sled riding, nosework, and recall - and we are always excited to get the update photos and videos. As a rescue, her socialization skills were lacking and I cannot express the incredible amount of progress she made under the care and patience of Don. His skills and knowledge of how to meet each dog where they are at is unparalleled. As a business owner, Don is such a joy of a human to work with. I cannot say enough good things about his boarding service. Several times he has come to the rescue for boarding the dog with short notice. We always joke that our dog going to Don’s is certainly a vacation of her own. Our friends are probably sick of hearing it, but we recommend him to any dog owner that we meet.

Don has helped my dog, Darcy, in many ways. He has elevated her training through everything they do. Her socialization skills, dog interactions, and over demeanor have improved tremendously since working with Don. We couldn't ask for a more professional and knowledgeable person to work with our dog. From daycare to boarding we know that when Darcy is with Don, she is safe and going to have a fantastic day.
