Dogs on the Mark

We have a 4 month puppy and was unsure on how to properly train him. He still comes everyday to let our puppy out and while he is here he works on training him as well as taking him for walks and giving him constant attention and love. He explains everything he is working on with him that way we can continue to work the same way with him. Scott is great and we will continue to use him for as long as we can! Benny loves him!

He know a lot and very educational and should start a school but I feel like I wasted 300$ because he did more talking than actually trianing and I am so frustrated still minus 300$. I’m calling Chuck McBride. It’s sad you don’t know me when you pulled up in your big red truck and talked for two whole hours. I have two Cane Corso pups and live off Pulaski highway. Thanks for further making me realize how I wasted time and money. I appreciate it. Just take the review that is truthful and keep it pushing towards excellence. Scott was AMAZING! We have a 4 year old black lab who was fearful of just about every noise while walking, from construction to loud cars, motorcycles and even loud claps. He also would refuse to go out in the rain and high winds. Scott showed up and talked to us about dog pack mentality and put behavior correction in a perspective that really made sense to us. He also gave real world examples, he’s extremely knowledgeable which is extremely comforting when trusting someone else with your fur baby. We went out to show Scott how he reacts and simulated some loud sounds and Scott suggested the prong collar to simulate the pack leader correcting behavior. This, right off the bat, was reassuring to me. Nowadays, a lot of training goes right to an e collar, which was unsettling for me having a fearful dog. As soon as Scott went to work, we saw improvements in our pup. It took some work (he’s also a very strong pup) and Scott explained everything every step of the way and had us practice while instructing us. I stood in amazement how well the process worked and how well our pup was learning. We even had motorcycles ride by and he didn’t react in fear. We immediately went out and bought what Scott suggested and took our pup out on our own and saw immediate improvement! We then had another test this morning with the rain and our pup went right out without hesitation once the collar was on and even went #2 (it’s been a long time since that has happened in rain!). I would HIGHLY recommend Scott and Dogs on the Mark! I will be contacting Scott for any future needs. Thank you so much to Scott!!

Scott has been my go to trainer for the past 6 years and I can tell you that Scott Burgess is, without a doubt the BEST dog/human trainer out there. But there is a catch..you have to be willing to work, to listen to his instruction, to work with your dog/s when he is not there, and accept the fact that most of the training is for us humans. But I can guarantee that if you follow his instruction and accept his method of training, which is the pack way, you will have an amazing life with your fur kid. Since working with Scott, he has helped train and re-train (mainly me and my husband and our pack), which has consisted of 4 rescue (female) dogs, two of which have tried to kill each other (he taught us how to reestablish control) and most recently 2 black lab puppies we brought in when we lost 2 senior dogs this past summer. As you will see in the pics below, we can bring the puppies food into their pen, make them sit and wait (without touching their food for as long as we want), release them to eat AND we can have them leave eating their food at any point. Thanks to Scott. The only regret you will have is not having Scott work with your dog.
