FirstBarkMike is awesome with our dog. She has improved so much in just a few weeks with walking healing and has so much less anxiety. Doggy Dojo is Highly recommended!!

The Doggy Dojo is Connecticut's newest family-centered Training and Rescue Center, where we are more than just a playground or training facility – we're a community of mutual support and a family that's here to Train, Play, and Rescue with you. You can find our brick and mortar location, "The Dojo," nestled in the heart of Rocky Hill, Connecticut. However, our commitment to you extends beyond our physical space. We're dedicated to providing top-notch training and behavioral services wherever you and your dog are located. Whether you've just adopted a rescue or have a pedigreed puppy, "The Dojo isn't the only place your Doggy Dojo Training Program will take place".

Mike is the most knowledgeable dog trainer I have ever worked with. We brought Archer to him after he was having behavioral issues. Mike helped us work through them, as well as establish control when walking him. He taught us how to understand his body language when he is anxious. Mike goes above and beyond, answering questions for us when he is “off the clock.” He truly cares about the dogs and families he works with and it shows in his training. A true master of his craft.

We rescued our dog, Rex, at the ripe adolescent age of 7 months. He came to us very anxious, scared with an unknown history of what he had experienced in his short life. We started working with Mike almost immediately and it is the best decision we made. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and an expert at what he does. We have been working with him for about 4 months now and he has helped us and Rex in the best of ways. He has a beautiful training space, but also conducts sessions at Lowes, your house, or whatever location necessary to effectively work with your dog and family. Rex has learned obedience, confidence, and safety and we could not have made the progress we have without Mike. He is a completely different dog than when we rescued him. We are forever grateful we found the Doggy Dojo family! Thank you Mike for all you do and your dedication to our 4-legged family members!
Mike spent so much time teaching me, and training my dog. As a pittie mix, I wanted her to be an ambassador for her breed, and she has become just that. The care, guidance, nurturing, and true love for what Mike does is by far the best around!
Mike is a great guy. He spent nearly two hours talking with me at the Doggy Dojo and did not charge me a cent. You can see how passionate Mike is about dogs and making their lives better. I am going to sign up for some training (at home) in the near future. Thanks Mike!!
